Let's get ready to rumble: Gerard Butler hams it up with WWE stars


THERE are some cynics who think acting and wrestling are pretty much the same thing.

Now Scots hunk Gerard Butler, 46, has managed to fan those flames by hamming it up with grapple stars on WWE TV.

The London Has Fallen star posed backstage for Monday Right Raw with grappler The Miz.

And Butler, from Paisley, looked perfectly at home among the over-the-top characters and storylines of the show.

He said on Twitter: “Hanging with @mikethemiz backstage at @WWE #RAW tonight #LondonHasFallen”

WWE fans were quick to voice their approval - and even urged Butler to get in the thick of the action.

Aljonae Nelson said: “I really want you to either attack Y2J or help @AJStylesOrg win the match by distracting Miz. #RAW”

Meanwhile Marisa Valka was just happy to see the actor on screen.

She tweeted: “Oh my God! You are irresistible.....God bless you. Loves from Argentina.”

Butler was in Annaheim, California, as part of promotion duties for London Has Fallen, his new movie.

The action flick is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and sees the Scot tackle terrorists, car chases and explosions in the UK capital.

London Has Fallen opens in the UK on March 3.
