Getting his beauty sleep! Gerard Butler nods off ahead of interview while relaxing poolside

It must be hard work being a Hollywood lothario.

Gerard Butler appeared to be so exhausted ahead of an interview in Miami on Monday that he ended up falling asleep as he lounged by the pool.

The actor had been relaxing poolside at his hotel when he dozed off while fully-clothed.

But fortunately the 43-year-old woke up in time for his interview, which was in order to promote his new film Playing For Keeps.

Gerard stars in the movie opposite Jessica Biel, who he dated briefly last year after meeting her onset of the film.

The nap clearly revived the twinkly-eyed Scotsman as he seemed in a great mood while waving to photographers after his grilling session.

Gerard was sporting a navy shirt and jeans for the occasion.


He was seen jetting out of LAX the day before, attempting to go incognito in a baseball cap and sunglasses.

The Bounty Hunter star is well-known for being something of a womaniser and recently divulged about when he learned to flirt.

He told CNN: ‘It’s just that nice moment where you give them an extra smile, especially with women.
‘That seems to be my memory of the first moment when I learned how to flirt – you know, have an effect on women like that.”

Playing for Keeps, which is released December 7, sees Gerard play a former soccer star who has fallen from grace and finds himself unable to resist trying to score with the gorgeous mothers while coaching his son's team.
