I have used copious amounts of bug spray and placed ant traps in the house. Yet they continue to find their way into my back door and into my dog's food. This makes about 4 dishes of dog food I've had to pitch in about 3 days. It's disgusting.

Back in Thailand, we prevented ants from entering freestanding cupboards by putting each cabinet leg in a dish of water. Ants climb into dishes and drown.

Ya might want to put a tray or large flat dish with water on a towel and put the dog food bowl in the center of that. You'll end up with some soggy dog kibbles in the water, but the bowl should be ant-free.

Gotta bleach out the ant trail, too, now that they made one, so they don't have an easy path back to the food bowl.

This feels like deja vu. Have we had this conversation before? Involving Raid?

I'm having the same problem. I think I've tried every spray out there. My newly re-named Missy's (or Misty- having trouble making my mind match my mouth) bowls are on the counter so I can have better control. One thing you can try is putting Coco's dish on a surface well-sprayed with Lysol mouth wash. It actually helps a lot, and is how I keep the counter mostly ant free.

I like Missy, too. Little Miss Owner. Misty might encourage her to "mist" your house.

I think she's decided to keep me. She even lets me share her bed, but only if I rub her belly first.

She wants to be around me and be petted, but she still doesn't want to be held. We're getting there.

She's pretty. Ears up, fur down, claws in, relaxed tail. She looks at home. Probably wondering what's wrong with your face with the camera.
