Dylan McDermott climbs 'Olympus'
Will play Secret Service agent in bigscreen thriller
With TV's "American Horror Story" now behind him, Dylan McDermott is heading back to the bigscreen with a role in Millenium Films' "Olympus Has Fallen."
Pic stars Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart and will be directed by Antoine Fuqua. Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt penned the script.
Described as "Die Hard" in the White House, story follows a former Secret Service agent who becomes America's only hope when the building is overtaken by terrorists.
McDermott will play another Secret Service agent.
Butler and his manager Alan Siegel will produce with Millennium prexy Mark Gill, while Avi Lerner will exec produce with Trevor Short. Production is skedded to start in July.
McDermott, repped by CAA and David Schiff, can be seen next in the Warner Bros. laffer "The Campaign," and Summit's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
