Gerard Butler: Creative Coalition Awards with Michelle Monaghan!

Gerard Butler hits the red carpet at the Creative Coalition’s 2011 Spotlight Initiative Awards held at the Roosevelt Room during the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 20) in Toronto, Canada.

The 41-year-old actor was joined on the carpet by his Machine Gun Preacher co-star Michelle Monaghan, who was honored with an award during the evening.

“To be honoured with a Spotlight Award means a lot to me, actually,” Michelle said. “I think it’s important to recognize projects that take a risk, and this one isn’t afraid to confront the audience with some tough material.”

That evening, Gerard also checked out the premiere of the film Rampart during the festival.

Gerard Butler & Michelle Monaghan's TIFF Night Out

Turning up to help honor his "Machine Gun Preacher" co-star, Gerard Butler was looking ever-so-handsome at The Roosevelt Room in Toronto, Canada on Saturday night (September 10).

The Scottish stud joined alongside the lovely Michelle Monaghan as she was feted during the 26th Annual Toronto International Film Festival's Creative Coalition Spotlight Initiative Awards.

Commenting on the accolade, Miss Monaghan said, “To be honored with a Spotlight Award means a lot to me, actually. I think it’s important to recognize projects that take a risk, and this one isn’t afraid to confront the audience with some tough material.”

During the course of the evening, Mr Butler also made time to check out the TIFF premiere of "Rampart at Princess of Wales - while he and Michelle are set to premiere "Machine Gun Preacher" tomorrow evening.
