First time I heard that was in Jurassic Park. Dr. Ian Malcolm told Dr. Alan Grant that he's always on the lookout for the future ex-Mrs. Malcolm.

To me, "future ex" is an admittance that they just want to bop them for a while. A bit longer than a one night stand.
