Turning up for the overseas festivities, Gerard Butler was a hit at the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011 in London, England on Sunday (February 13).
Held at The Royal Opera House, the hunky actor charmed the red carpet before heading inside while awaiting the UK ceremony to get underway.
With Jonathan Ross acting as host of the event for the fifth year while being broadcast on BBC1, Deputy Bafta chairman David Parfitt was high on British films this year around, as he said, "British film has always punched above its weight in the film world. British film is always quite well represented in the Oscars as well as the Baftas."
"It's not that we have a particular bias. British film in general plays well around the world because it's very good."

Gerard Butler suits up for the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011, held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 13) in London, England.
The 41-year-old Scottish actor looked dapper in a suit and bow tie as he walked the red carpet.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that Gerry has landed a new role in Mavericks, a film based on the true story of surfer Jay Moriarty and his quest to ride the treacherous breaks in northern California.

Gerard Butler, the last star to shoot by. Probably running a bit late after trying to dye his surprisingly grey hair! The Fantastic actor unfortunately had no time for the cheering crowd, just cheesy grins… What more could they need?!

Too bad the intro wasn't included in this clip. It, and Gerry's entrance made me wince. His voice sounded off in the telecast. You can't really tell from this recording. It was more obvious on BBC. It sounded a little hoarse, like he was sick or drunk or had been partying hard. That probably contribued to all the tweets/observations about him on the BAFTAs.

8. Gerard Butler, I did spot, taking the number of a lass, which he then entered into his mobile. (A late-breaking that is the equivalent, probably, of reporting that there was rain in London.)
