Gerard Butler attends the premiere of the thriller The Next Three Days on Thursday (November 9) at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York.

The 40-year-old actor was there to support Russell Crowe, who stars in the flick about a man who plans to break his wife out of jail after she’s accused for a murder he believe she did not commit.

On Friday (Novermber 5), Gerry and Russell attended a Haiti fundraiser along with Adrien Brody, who also showed up for the premiere!

Gerard Butler wouldn't eat a morsel of food at the Cinema Society after-party for the premiere of Russell Crowe's movie "The Next Three Days." This is so ridiculous that it is funny. Here's a thought, maybe he didn't like the food. Maybe he stuffed himself with popcorn during the movie (there was free popcorn and soda) and thus wasn't hungry for hors d'oeuvres. Or maybe he had dinner right before the movie, and was still full at the after party.

Or maybe he has an eating disorder. Hahahaha!

Gerard Butler Has an Eating Disorder?

GERARD Butler might have an eating disorder.

The Scottish actor fueled rumors he’s not very well by refusing to eat any food at the Cinema Society after-party for the recent premiere of Russell Crowe’s new movie The Next Three Days.

“He looked starved,” a source told New York Post gossip column Page Six.

“He turned away all the hors d’oeuvres and only drank seltzer water.”

Butler recently revealed his plans for Christmas.

“I’m going home to Scotland for Christmas, and I will be washing the dishes for Christmas, that’s for sure,” he told People magazine.

Butler — who has been linked to stars as Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson — refused to discuss his private life, but did reveal his true love.

While I will admit he does look a slight bit too thin IMO and seems to me to be a bit pale lately (then again who isn't when the fall and winter begins to set in), going to the extreme of eating disorder is pushing it. We do know his weight tends to seesaw quite a bit and he has admitted to 500 calorie/day diets....my guess is he's either a bit paranoid after those beach pics last Christmas (remember how they slammed him for gaining weight), or he could very well be doing it for an upcoming role.

So when he puts on a bit of holiday paunch he's slammed for being fat, and when he loses weight he's accused of having an eating disorder. Can't win for losing....

Maybe the hors d'oeurvres were disgusting. Maybe he has the flu.

That's what I was thinking, Nay.

The Page Six Death Watch Marches On: More Inaccuracies!

I've taken a break on the Page Six scrutiny over the past two days. Mainly because my focus had turned towards criticizing other media outlets. Thankfully, I am back on the Page Six Death Watch bandwagon, doing my part to point out the imperfections of the popular column.
So on first pass, the stories from this week's Page Six seemed to be true. Lame, but clean. However, taking a closer look, some inaccuracies revealed themselves. I can't explain to you why I get a kick out of this, but I do, and here is what I found to be unworthy of being printed as "news" in Page Six yesterday alone.

The Story: Via Pg.6:

Apparently Butler is trying to lose weight for his upcoming movie and looked starved! He wouldn't touch any food and only drank water (gasp!).

The Fallout:

This headline lead to this post by ShowBizSpy: "GERALD BUTLER HAS AN EATING DISORDER."

The Truth:

My friend who was at the party and saw Gerarld Butler had this to say: "He had a glass in his hand with some kind of brown liquid (coke? Whiskey? Who knows.) and was flirting with pretty brunettes and looked happy. He looked like he always does. Like a ladies man."

The Verdict: Wanna be gossip columns that follow Pg.6 item for item (yes they do unfortunately exist), are going to try to make an overblown non-story even more sensational. Gerald Butler enjoying a drink over food turns into him having a full on eating disorder. (Note: most of the food passed at those parties ishighly suspect- I usually pass them up too...does that mean I also have eating disorder!?).

Page Six is a leader and going to have followers regurgitating whatever they put up. This is even more of a cause for them to be committed to producing solid stories.
