Salon Millesime

Was INSANE tonight. It was a special charity event/auction to build a school in Haiti. Adrian Brody was the highest bidder for a date with Gerard Butler, Courtney Love was smoking in the bathroom, Russel Crowe got touchy feely with Susan Sarandon and this was all in the first hour. woo-hoo, what a night!

Adrian Brody went on a date with Gerry? I knew those two were an item! Very Happy

Maybe Adrian will take Gerry out to McDonald's for some more cheeseburgers.

What a worthwhile cause, particularly with Haiti in trouble again.

I'll bet Brody & Butler do something with the win - even if it's just to resell it for more profits for APJ.

A nice slide from charity to doing dishes:

http://www.celebitchy.com/125318/gerard_butler_talks_about_taking_me_to_scotland_for_the_holidays/

Over the weekend, CB and I were discussing how I rarely take any time off, and how I still have a bunch of vacation days for the year. I said something vague, like I would probably be taking some time off around the holidays, not really thinking of anything other than Christmas shopping and helping my mom cook. But it looks like I might need every last day of vacation, because this bitch is headed to Scotland for the holidays. My lover Gerard Butler discussed our holiday plans with People Magazine while he was attending a charity event for Artists for Peace and Justice, a group that has been doing a lot of work in Haiti. My lover talks more about his humanitarian urges (although I wouldn’t put it past him for tappin’ some Haitian ass), as well as how he and I are going to be in charge of the dishes at his mom’s house:

He may be an international star, but when it comes to the holidays, Gerard Butler will put his best devoted-son foot forward.

“I’m going home to Scotland for Christmas, and I will be washing the dishes for Christmas, that’s for sure,” The Bounty Hunter star, 40, told PEOPLE with a laugh at Friday night’s Artists for Peace and Justice Fundraiser for Haiti at Manhattan’s Millesime.

But Butler, who in the past has been linked to such stars as Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, had little to say about his romantic life, other than to reveal his true love.

“New York’s my favorite city, I love it here,” he said. “I’ve been having fun here. Even just at this party tonight, I’ve run into some friends that I’ve known for years – friends from Australia, from London – who have actually just moved here, and the excitement on their faces when they talk about their New York living experience . . . Nobody loves their city like they do in New York.”

At the fundraising event organized by filmmaker Paul Haggis, to generate funds for APJ’s efforts in building Haiti’s first free secondary school, Butler, who personally aided in the earthquake-relief effort, discussed the importance of being hands-on.

“Interestingly enough, for me, my favorite thing, was loading up the trucks with grain, taking it to the camps and passing out grain to the people,” he said. “Sitting in the meetings, it was interesting to be feeling that you were at the heart of some policy making, but the hands on part was incredible. It felt fantastic.”

He needs another schtick.
Or maybe he needs to buy his mother a dishwasher.

My mom has a dishwasher yet never uses it.

Maybe Gerry's mom is the same way.

Or maybe Gerry's idea of washing dishes is putting the dishes in the dishwasher, and not actually technically "washing" them.

Courtney Love bids $17,000 for tea with Adrien Brody
Published: Tuesday, Nov 9, 2010, 19:11 IST
Place: NEW YORK | Agency: ANI

Despite complaining of money woes lately, Courtney Love has bid a whopping $17,000 for tea with Oscar winner Adrien Brody.

The singer made the bid at Paul Haggis' Artists for Peace and Justice fund-raiser for Haitian schools, reports the New York Post.

Spies said Love got into a fierce bidding war with Gerard Butler over Brody at the bash, which also marked the opening of restaurant Salon Millesime at the Carlton Hotel on Madison Avenue.

NOW I see why GB bid on and won AB - it was to save him from Courtney Love!

Adrian Brody won the tea with Gerry. Gerry did not win the tea with Adrian - Courtney did.
I wonder how much Adrian paid for Gerry, since Gerry obviously didn't want to pay too much for Adrian and let Courtney win the tea with Adrian for $17,000.

Maybe there wasn't a bidding war for Gerry, and Adrian got him on the cheap.

Another article - crude but funny.

http://hitdanback.com/courtney-love-gerard-butler-had-a-bidding-war-over-adrien-brodys-penis/

Courtney Love & Gerard Butler Had A Bidding War Over Adrien Brody’s Penis…

Yes!

It happened, you bitches!

At the Peace and Justice auction in NYC on Friday night, no less!

Page Six reported that not only did Courtney bid and win a walk-on role in Paul Haggis’ next movie, but she also shat out $17,000 to have tea with sweet-ass Adrien Brody!

I know!

So f*cking scary!

I mean, not as scary as the fact that Courtney was invited to the “Peace and Justice auction”…

But, wait!

There’s more!

Allegedly, Courtney also flipped her shit because Adrien’s main piece, Gerard Butler (who was seated at a table opposite Courtney) licked his lips and raised his bidding paddle every time Adrien’s ass came up for sale!

Yes!

But, in the end, Courtney would have leveraged Kurt’s entire f*cking songbook to slurp Earl Grey next to Adrien, and Gerard soon found himself out of his bidding league…

This is awesome…

Also, you should know that I used to work with a girl who dated Adrien Brody, literally for 3 years and always used to talk about what a cool guy he was…

Incidentally, she got fired for shooting heroin at the reception desk, passing out, and letting blood shoot all over the wall…

So, you know, don’t think Adrien won’t be able to handle Courtney for a second…

The End.

From Celebitchy...crude, but I've read her stuff before so it's in good humor:

Quote :
Is Gerard Butler attempting some Bieber hair?

Obviously, my lover has hair issues. Oddly enough, my hair does something similar when I let it air dry and it’s really humid out. I get these really weird waves and curls and there’s some kind of old-school Yoko Ono thing happening. When Gerard Butler and I meet, we’ll discuss our hair issues. In any case, I feel like Gerard is struggling a bit, post-mullet. He’s stepped out looking dashing at times, and at other times, he’s just looked tired and old. These photos made me laugh though - because it looks like he’s trying to attempt some Bieber bangs, but Gerry’s hair is too curly to do it correctly.

Anyway, these are photos from a few days ago that we only recently got access to. The event is for the Artists for Peace and Justice fundraiser. Gerard was there with Adrien Brody (whom he tried to buy a date with), Russell Crowe (meh), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (swoon) and some dark-haired SLUT who needs to keep her g-ddamn hands to herself. If this woman is his girlfriend, I need to get out my slut-shank.

The comments are funny too.

The plot thickens....supposedly Courtney Love didn't bid or win the Champagne thing with Adrian Brody - another woman did.

And Adrian paid $13,000 for Gerry.....

Six Death Watch: Another Page Six Gaffe?! Courtney Love Did NOT In Fact Bid On Adrien Brody

By RACHELLE J. HRUSKANov 9, 2010 12:47

In today's Eavesdropping, we linked to Page Six's article in which they claim Courtney Love bid $17,000 for the chance to have tea with Adrien Brody at the recent "Artists For Peace And Justice" fundraiser. But our sources tell us that's not exactly what happened...-

The REAL Story Is:

Adrien Brody bought tea with Gerard Butler for $13k, prompting Gerard to moan "Please let a woman win me!"

Then, Paul Haggis, the evening's host, urged Adrien to put himself up for auction. As a spur of the moment thing, Adrien auctioned off "champagne time" with himself--NOT tea, as reported by Page Six. The item sold for $13k to a woman named Susan, and our sources tell us Courtney Love never even bid on it.

According to today's Gatecrasher, Courtney did win a walk-on role in Haggis' next film, and a fitting with Marchesa--but Adrien Brody never even entered the picture. Guess she was too busy, uhm, rummaging through other people's purses...

No real harm done to Courtney or Adrien, but add it to the list of embarrassing mistakes made by Emily Smith and new team over at Page Six...

Publishing a lame story is one thing, but even the lame ones should have some TRUTH in them! Why do we care? You ask. Well for one thing, Page Six, like it or not, is the local gossip column that everyone in NYC reads whether they like to admit it or not. Every middle aged businessman riding in from Greenwich, CT to Midtown Manhattan each morning, every PR girl, fashion intern, media writer, etc. etc. And, well, with that kind of readership comes power, but also scrutiny. Foster Kamer over at the Village Voice may not be your beat, but at least he does thorough reporting and fact checking. The NYDN's Gatecrasher is running circles around Page Six. And, on most days, so are we.

Page Six Death Watch starts now!

p.s. Gawker: this is wrong. Wink

hahahahaha. The article says last year - but the auction was in 2010.

http://www.contactmusic.com/news/adrien-brody-still-waiting-to-take-tea-with-gerard-butler-after-auction-win_1308619

Adrien Brody Still Waiting To Take Tea With Gerard Butler After Auction Win

Oscar winner Adrien Brody is still waiting to take tea with Gerard Butler after winning the 'date' at a charity auction.

The Pianist star bid $15,000 (£9,400) for the odd item last year (Nov11) at a fundraiser to build a school in Haiti - and he's still waiting for a call from the 300 star.

Brody says, "I attended a charity function for Artists for Peace & Justice and one of the things they were auctioning off was tea with Gerry Butler, which I thought was really interesting, so I thought, 'Why not?' I had the winning bid and I've yet to have tea with Gerry Butler. He has not fulfilled his obligation... I paid thousands and thousands of dollars... It was, like, 15 grand."

Brody made sure he honoured his own auction item - he chatted to a fan over champagne minutes after she won the bidding: "We pull out a bottle of champagne and people bid. We got $17,000. I had champagne with that woman that night. She didn't realise it meant that night... Her husband, I don't think, really appreciated it. He had to cut the cheque too, which is really terrible."

Glad the thread for this is back up because I was going to post this video somewhere. I saw Adrian Brody on Chelsea Lately the other night. He talks about this story, and this is the interview where they obviously got the quotes for the article.
