The only St Louis appearance I saw was for Oct 4, and unfortunately I won't be in town next weekend.

It's kind of hard to navigate this guy's website. Where is the "events" page he is referring to?

I don't know why I kept thinking this was next Sunday, probably because it's a church. He's speaking on Monday, and that's right down the street from where I work. I think I can make the evening service.

Thanks for the info from Dallas, she has informed me Rev. Childers is also scheduled to be on 1120 am KMOX at 9pm this evening. I don't know how long of an interview it will be, but I want to be sure and listen.

Did anyone else listen to this? It was an interesting interview, I hope I can get a recording of it. I started to record off of the stereo, but since it's AM it was cutting out quite a bit so I turned to computer streaming.

Rev Childers told quite a bit about his life, his work, etc. He's going to be in St. Louis for two weeks appearing at a few places and trying to raise money for his cause. Maybe I'll be able to spot his truck.

As far as the movie goes, Sam mentioned they're going into editing and will probably know around next March or so when it will be released, but he's thinking late next summer.

An interesting bit of gossip about Gerry. As you might know, Mr. Butler was filming here in St. Louis a number of years ago, and the local readio personality (John Carney) brought it up with Sam. Sam was talking about how nice Gerry was, and then the interviewer brought up the filming here in St. Louis and said he had heard nothing but nice stories about Gerry, but Carney mentioned that Gerry's girlfriend at the time was getting into a lot of fights at the local bars, throwing drinks, etc. I'm not sure if Carney was joking about the throwing of the drink because he has a rather tongue in cheek sense of humor, but I found it interesting he remembered the girlfriend and the fights. Then Sam started laughing and said Gerry has a lot of women admirers or something like that.

They never mentioned about Childers appearing at that Rock Hill church by my work next Monday, so I'm going to have to double check to see if he's still scheduled to appear. He is supposed to make an appearance at the Harley Davidson place by my house next Friday (Oct , though. Maybe I can catch him on my way home from work before he leaves.

Interesting that the interviewer mentions Gerry's girlfriend during the filming of Game of Their Lives in St. Louis got into a lot of fights....

Sam said that he thinks the movie will be released next year in late summer(somewhere between June and September) and that they are already talking to him about a second movie.

I did listen to it, Donna. Very interesting interview. The Darfur area (Sudan) is where Joseph Kony is assumed to be and President Bashir is one scary man. Bravo Mr Childers.

Sam also said Gerry came to visit with him about a year ago for a week, to get into the "character"....or in this case, the man and what he's about.

Something comical, Sam said he was in Detroit for about 2 weeks while they were filming, but he said he didn't stick around too much because he tended to make them nervous while he was on set. When asked why, he really didn't know but joked that maybe they thought he was carrying a machine gun on him or something.

I'm sure it's nerve racking to have the actual person you are playing in a film or on stage, around while you are performing.

That church by my work that Sam was speaking at, I saw on Monday when I drove through there that he appeared last Sunday, and not Monday as the website was reporting. And since I was out of town, I missed him.

I did take a picture of the sign and announcement, though.

I wonder if he's still scheduled to be at the Harley Davidson place this Friday.
