- Strategizing on the movie/book launch of Machine Gun Preacher starring Gerard Butler as Sam Childers for Sept 2011. @ThomasNelson
http://twitter.com/davidmschroeder/status/14365325151698944 September of 2011 is a long time to wait for MGP.....I wonder why they are releasing the film a year after filming wrapped. There must be some sort of strategy behind it. It's not like it's a huge CGI movie with a ton of post production work that could take the better part of a year.

-@whatlucyloves well, at least now he'll get loads of freebies to put in good use. Maybe the next ad will be a before and after?!
@KikiGeorgiou Sorry Gerard, get an eyelift cos you look knackered #fail
- @whatlucyloves that's exactly what I thought! Do men want to look like him? Definitely NOT worth it, L'oreal!
Ummm is Gerard Butler really the best ad for anti fatigue? Weird

| This tweet from a guy who is a writer of EastEnders (read from bottom up). - Quote :
- @miguelpotts the bounty hunter was so awful me and @thealange fought because of it. A romcom that made us love each other *less*!
@miguelpotts oh yes, I don't doubt that it makes financial/career sense. But butler actually UNDERMINES his hardman image. @miguelpotts what's wrong with being actors? This might sound poncey, but they're meant to be artists.
Sorry all. This actors/perfumes/cosmetics/whoring thing has turned into a crusade. Wankers.
Steve McQueen must be rolling in his f*cking grave.
For Christ's sake, Butler, you're a shit enough actor. The only thing you had was looking like you were tough. But alas...
These cosmetic companies must pay a shitload. "It's a billion million dollars fee, and all you have to provide is your dignity forever".
And now Gerard Butler doing ads for L'Oreal moisturiser. MOISTURISER! For f**k's sake, you're meant to be a hard man. http://twitter.com/pmattessi

| When you think about it, though, who else is going to the ads, besides actors?
Maybe it would have been better if it was for old spice, you know?

| I guess the whole stereotype of "real men" not using products is kind of annoying to me. Do 'regular' guys really think that the hunks we ladies love just roll out of bed without doing anything or having any grooming routine? Do they think that George Clooney does nothing to keep himself looking good? Even Sly Stallone has had something "done." I like what one of the queer guys for straight guys said about more pressure on women to keep up a routine. Quote"thats why you have so many hot looking women with alot of nasty looking men!" | |

| From Stephen Fry, the writer. Click on the link to the twitpic below to see what he is talking about. L'oreal really should have used different font/type on their commercial. He is absolutely right, and apparently there are a ton of people commenting on the commercial and "forskin" i.e. foreskin Hahahahahaha! - Quote :
- Oops. I mean Gerard, not Gerald x
Apparently it's Gerald Butler in this forskin ad - my mild prosopagnosia stopped me from seeing that. http://frypi.cc/fmBVCg http://twitter.com/stephenfry

I'll have to agree with you there. Why shouldn't men take more time to groom themselves? I've gone on dates where I'm dressed nice. Not over the top in heels and a dress, but nice slacks, a shirt, hair done, makeup, etc. Then I meet the guy and he has about 2 days growth, messy and/or dirty clothes, etc. It gives me the impression that he just doesn't care enough about me and/or the date to make an effort. - Quote :
