Just sat down to see American Idiot at St. James Theater. Our seats are better than Gerard Butler's.

Dammit, you made me Google it ...
http://theater.nytimes.com/show/24513/American-Idiot/overview Rage and love, those consuming emotions felt with a particularly acute pang in youth, all but burn up the stage in this thrillingly raucous and gorgeously wrought Broadway musical adapted from the blockbuster pop-punk album by Green Day. “American Idiot,” directed by Michael Mayer and performed with galvanizing intensity by a terrific cast, detonates a fierce aesthetic charge in this ho-hum Broadway season. A pulsating portrait of wasted youth that invokes all the standard genre conventions — bring on the sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll, please! — only to transcend them through the power of its music and the artistry of its execution, the show is as invigorating and ultimately as moving as anything I’ve seen on Broadway this season. Or maybe for a few seasons past. —

I liked their earlier work, but wasn't fond of this album.

I love Green Day - back starting with their "Dookie" album (yes, Nay, that was the title). I remember LOVING "Basket Case" "When I Come Around" "Welcome to Paradise" and "Longview".
I love "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" from the "American Idiot" album.....
And "American Idiot" always made me laugh.
Wonder if Gerry has ever sung the "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"/"Wonderwall" remix at karaoke......?

I think that caption on that pic was a joke tweet. Another tweeter was commenting on the pic that Doug Benson posted. She was commenting on their appearance in the pic.

Doin a movie with Gerard Butler. Great first day yesterday. Hollywood does have some good people. Fantastic
http://twitter.com/fanamokoena/status/21546871717
Fana Mokoena is the actor who played General Bizimungu in the movie "Hotel Rowanda" - if you haven't seen that movie, I highly recommend it. It is incredible and Don Cheadle is fantastic in it.
I'm assuming some filming has started based on his tweet. I wonder when Gerry will begin. Fana is not yet listed in the cast and his IMDB profile doesn't have MGP on it yet.

Dallas, Hotel Rwanda was a fantastic movie made more so because it was someone's true life. I think Don Cheadle was also Executive Producer too.

Nay, if you liked "Hotel Rowanda" you should see "Sometimes in April". It was movie made by HBO in 2005. I had to track it down at Blockbuster several years ago in order to see it. They only had one copy, and it was always checked out. I finally got it, and really enjoyed it. It gives a broader and more detailed view point of the genocide and is really moving. I recommend seeing it if you can track it down.
Also, Idris Elba (from Rocknrolla) is in it. I love him.
