The Starz channels have a new series, The Pillars of the Earth, from Ken Follett's book. I'm loving the show. The scenery and costumes are wonderful. I've never read Ken Follett, but I'm thinking about picking up this book. I'm intrigued by the really strong female characters.

Not all that long before she died, I remember my mom reading World Without End by Ken Follett. I think I might remember her saying she had read it before. Gosh, or maybe it was The Pillars of the Earth that she read. Not positive now. I'm curious about his work now. Maybe I should read his stuff.

I don't have Starz, but I used to watch Spartacus online. I will probably look for Pillars, too.

The first 2 episodes aired 2 Fridays ago, #3 last Friday, #4 this coming Friday. I think there will be a total of 8.
