| Is this story part of the PR cleanup mission? Gerard Butler ensured an elderly couple’s anniversary celebrations went smoothly after seeing them having trouble with a table at a restaurant. The Scottish hunk was dining at the exclusive McCormick & Schmick’s eatery in Beverly Hills when he noticed the duo struggling to keep their plates on the table. Realising they were trying to celebrate their special day, Gerard immediately stepped in to ease the situation. “The couple were celebrating their 60th anniversary,” a source explained. “They were having a problem with a wobbly table. Gerard took some sugar packets and balanced the table perfectly.” The pair were bowled over by Gerard’s kindness, but he would not accept their offer of a drink in repayment. The 40-year-old actor has been linked to a series of beautiful woman recently, including Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Although he rarely comments on his romantic status Gerard has admitted he would like to get married, explaining he always thought he’d be settled by his age. “I can totally imagine it. It’s just not right now,” he explained. “I am great where I am but it would be nice. It doesn’t have to be marriage. It could be to be in a relationship and I would definitely like kids some day.” http://www.musicrooms.net/showbiz/10307-Gerard-Butler-Helps-Out-Couple.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Musicroomsnet+%28Musicrooms.net%29 | |

| Wouldn't it have been easier for the employees to seat them at a different table, or fix it themselves? I'm sure the couple probably spent a fortune for dinner, it's the least they could have done. | |

| I've done that before for another table. Do I get a medal? Kind of a wierd story. Like getting credit for holding the door for someone or something. I guess I don't see that as that big of a deal. It's nice, but nothing extraordinarily nice. You see that kind of thing all the time where I live.
How old is this story anyway? He has been in Detroit for a couple of weeks.

| We have Southern hospitality here. We also still have Southern gentlemen.
From the title I thought maybe he paid off someone's mortgage or gave them a ride to the hospital or bought them plane tickets to go see a dying child. Pffffft!

| Yeah, I thought it was something BIG, too.
I guess it was a slow news day in wherever he is.
Granted, it WAS nice of him to notice that they were having trouble.

| $#@% I just had a wicked thought. Maybe he fixed the table legs as a ruse to peek up the lady's skirt. | |
