Okay, I hate to sound like a broken record, but did he know he was attending this or did he just show up/stumble in? - because he is the worst dressed person there....

I thought he said he wasn't going to Cannes this year? I think this might have been an impromptu appearance. It looks like he's on a boat to me, not at a hotel. He may have just been "sailing" by!

Can't you see that's his sailing attire? Also his press junket, awards show, guys night out, and date night attire? There are subtle nuances but I can tell the difference!

To me, it sounded like a last minute thing, but I'm very surprised he didn't plan on going to Cannes, even if just to try to get his other projects going-finding backers and studios.

Go figure.

The pics do look like a boat, but the caption says it's at the Hotel du Cap. You can tell it's a hotel when you look at the other pics from the event.

I thought it would be odd for him not to stop by. Monte Carlo, Cannes and Nice are all next to each other. I've been to all three, and they are right next door to each other. I think that Monte Carlo and Cannes are only about 30-35 miles from each other and I think Nice is in between (if I recall correctly - I might be off on the order of the towns). But they are literally just down the coast from each other all in a row.
