I wouldn't last a minute on another thread! Thanks to DonnaKat for this place to meet some cool people.

That plot was cute. I problably wouldnt have watched it if Gerry wasnt in it-though Katherine H is pretty cool. The thing I noticed the most was that Gerry slipped from an American accent back into his Scottish brogue (why didnt the director say something about that?). Otherwise KH & GB had good chemistry i think.

First, I am so glad you are jumping right in! It's fun here!

The elevator scene was very hot I thought!

As for GB's accents, it doesn't bother me as much as it does some people. I think it's because I am from the South but I don't sound like it unless:
1. I am very tired
2. I am around certain friends or family members with strong Southern accents.
3. I am flirting and the Southern accent works.

I love the way he talks, though, muddled or not. I think I like his voice more than anything except for his height.

Lol! I had forgotten your post about his accent, Dallas. A couple of my friends are like you--a bad "fake" accent is like hearing nails on a chalkboard for them. Maybe it should bother me more!

It is Dallas' MAJOR peeve, K. There are others, mind you.

I'm glad to be here everybody! And dont get me wrong--I love Gerryjuice in his natural state,unconcentrated! But from an actors point of view (or upcoming one) you need to be consistent about the character you're playing(an American). It reminds me of Kevin Costner when he was in Robin Hood and started out with an English accent before slipping into his Californian one. Or the cast of Dallas that started off with Texas accents before slipping into their own natural ones as the show went on.

Don't get me started on Kevin Costner in Robin Hood. I still can't get out of my mind, the scene where he's supposed to drum up support from his men...I just laughed. I don't normally do that, not even when Gman is flubbing his accent.

See, if you are getting paid BIG BUCKS, I feel you need to put in over 100 % of your talent to convince me as an audience member that you are serious about your role. If not, why should I spend my hard earned dough?

A hilarious line from Mel Brooks 'Robin Hood, Men In Tights with CARY ELWES as Robin Hood. It came out after Kevin Costner's: To paraphrses: The Merry Men ask" How do we know you're the REAL Robin Hood?" Robin replies "I cant shoot a bow and arrow, and I CAN SPEAK WITH AN ENGLISH ACCENT."

Yup! My favorite line...I crack up every time he says that...aside from I loved Cary's work. Wish he'd have the chance to do more.
