| I just think the commercial is silly and not funny to me at all. I certainly don't want to run out and buy a Quizno! | |

| good lord, I forgot about those. It's quite obvious that the commercials weren't meant for me because I don't care for Quiznos, either. | |

| I've never eaten Quiznos. Not because of the sponge monkeys, but because I've heard their sandwiches are loaded with calories. If I'm going to gorge, I'd rather do it right....burgers and fries, baby! Don'tcha love how this topic has gone from Gerry and his fandom to our hatred of Quiznos and sponge monkeys? | |

| We are not obsessed with just one thing. We are balanced people...well...our behinds don't lean completely to one side at least. | |

| I'm obsessed with a lot of things, so one obsession tends to balance out another one, and so on, and so on..... Speaking of which....baseball season starts Monday. | |

| Donna, big baseball fan too! I am just a big sports nut. I followed the Braves for years.
It's 9 p.m. here and I am going to bed in a few minutes. I did a 20 mile hike today and got a huge blister on my heel. I wanted to prove I was as tough as the men and walked on it for several miles. Thankfully my ex-boyfriend had mercy on my at the and carried me the last mile or so. But it hurts horribly now, even though it is propped up. My ex has gone to his house to get some clothes and is going to stay in my guest room in case I have issues. Never had one hurt this badly.
Not a good weekend. Last night's date with the new guy sucked.
Have a great Easter everyone!

| I shouldn't have sounded like a whiner! Yesterday was actually beautiful. We left when it was still dark so that we could watch the sunrise. But it was cloudy in the morning and we didn't see a great one. However later in the day the sun came out and the weather was perfect. At one point we just sat for a while and watched the squirrels and birds. We had the trip planned so that we could watch the sunset too and it did not disappoint. Awesome!
My ex-boyfriend watched P.S. I Love You in the middle of the night. Still makes me cry buckets. He wishes he had not bought it for me. He is having visions of me watching it over and over and crying.

| Julie,
I was whining about the blisters on my feet when I hiked all day with new shoes. I should have broken them in.
My exbf and I just watched Dear Frankie as I mentioned on the other thread. More tears.
My exbf is great about bringing over silly movies though. A few years ago he called me after midnight when I was going through a difficult time. He said he had a movie he knew would cheer my up. It was "Kung Pow--Enter the Fist." If you want to be silly, watch it. It has a great line that I don't remember exactly but is something like, "I am a man. I go pee-pee standing up."

Before long hikes or walks or trudges, I've learned to put bandaids on the back of my ankles above my heels where the top of the shoes rub. Did that a few times in hose and heels, too. I've had too many sores and blisters and one day thought I'd be putting on the bandaids anyway later, might as well put them on now as preventative bandaids. I tried to watch Kung Pow once. It was too tedious and boring. Lasted about 5 minutes.

| Kung Pow is definitely not for everyone. I think it was the timing of when I watched it that has made it dear to me. My exbf is a child and he loves that silly crap!
It's the timing of P.S. I Love You, too that has "driven me to fandom" as my exbf says. I am still dealing with loss and this movie reached that place where I feel the loss.

| Welcome to the forum, Kayanne! I can tell you'll fit in nicely here. I like your spunk!
Speaking of movies that make you laugh hysterically, I finally saw The Hangover for the first time last month. I must have been the last person in the world not to have seen it!

| I haven't seen The Hangover either. But I saw an amazing film tonight--"The Prophet"--with my nerdy, indy movie friends.
The violence was brutal. It was hard to watch but I couldn't look away. And the lead actor gave an amazing performance. I just watched his eyes--he said it all with his eyes. We normally discuss the movie afterwards but none of us felt like talking about it tonight. Intense!

| That does sound powerful, Kayanne. And you know you have a good actor when you can see it all in his/her eyes. | |

| Is The Prophet the same as A Prophet? It's on my list to see one day...anytime before the Hangover, so no, I haven't seen the Hangover. | |

| Yeah, it's A and not The. The movie had such an effect on everyone in my group I am surprised anyone could remember the name of the movie.
I don't like violence very much--walked out on a date during Kill Bill, Vol. 2. And there was some tough scenes to watch. But it's been 24 hours and I am still thinking about that movie and so is at least one of my friends who called me tonight.
The good thing is I am no longer thinking about the sadness in P.S. I Love You. That movie stuck with me for a long time, too!
