OMG OMG OMG!!! I just came from seeing Australia!!! Yowza!!I think
GB may have just been bumped from his #1 spot on my TO DO List. OMG Hugh Jackman is the whole Package. He can sing he can Dance He can Act he is built. He is a family man who has never been away from his wife for more than 2 weeks at a time. And His wife is nearly 10 years his senior and not a supermodel. Damn if only I could have found him first!! Two minor flaws...He has stringy hair, wrong eye color.

Wow...you think Joy's impressed with the Jackman?

I do. Laughing

I need to go see that movie. X-Men is great, but I loved him in Oklahoma.

I loved Hugh so much that I had my heroine cheat on her honeymoon with him.

LOL LOL LOL!

Well....not Hugh....but his image....as a general in Napoleon's army. You see...Pil went back in time....met him....fell in love.....etc, etc....

Mmmmmmm.....Phillipe.

But, I digress.

Hugh IS the total package.

wow! saddened to hear this, but i totally understand having been a gerry fan for about this long. as some of y'all know....i'm just about ready to give up my yahoo group, and reading this made me feel better about myself feeling that way and my reasoning........

All Good Things: Almost ten years ago, I sat in a darkened movie theater stunned by an unknown actor I'd witnessed blaze across the screen. His name was Hugh Jackman. I've always had this crazy knack for spotting talent. The more I learned, the more I liked this young man. I quickly decided his talent was so unique and his kind soul so obvious that I'd do what I could to support his career helping others to know this Aussie, too. In July of 2000, with little know-how and a lot of enthusiasm, Jackman's Landing was born.

Happily, a talented friend, who knew a lot more than I did, came aboard and we watched the site grow and grow and grow some more. Eventually, we added additional staffers: Chelle, Lori, Mon and Mel. We had a blast finding and sharing the latest about Hugh's career, raising money for charity and being a part of the process to honor Hugh with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That journey brought us many new friends for which we remain humbly grateful. Countless contributors helped find information of interest to readers. Our site was a 100% volunteer effort. Given Hugh's popularity, we could have made Jackman's Landing a money maker, we certainly had offers, but a commercial endeavor never appealed to any of us.

During the last decade, much has changed.

Hugh Jackman became an international triple threat, renowned for his performance skills as well as his humanitarian work. Google became a household word making it easy to find information about anyone and anything with the tap of one's finger. And much to our delight, after a few years of effort, Hugh was chosen to receive a star. Privately, we're ten years older, ten years busier and...well, life changes. We're proud of the work we've done at JL, particularly our decision to do our part to protect Hugh's right to privacy, refusing to post photos of the Jackman children as well as make discreet choices as to what we'd upload. But as time has marched forward, you've doubtless noticed the dearth of real news and the increasing infrequency of updates. We see the signs ...it's time to officially move on.

Jackman's Landing will go dark 7/23/2010.

Sue McEvoy, the lovely lady who spearheaded the Walk of Fame project has agreed to host a site strictly for Walk of Fame updates. As Sue is the one in contact with Hugh's reps, she is the logical choice to continue to keep the monies we've all donated. The funds will remain safe and sound, earning interest, until the time comes to apply our donations to Hugh's star. You may visit Sue's site to keep abreast of WOF happenings. Sue is not running a Hugh Jackman fan site; once Hugh has his star, the site will be removed from the internet.

Saying goodbye is never easy. We thank you for your readership and loyalty. For the many years of friendship. For helping keep Jackman's Landing such fun for all of us. I offer my thanks for years of supportive emails. For the friendship of five wonderful women who have given of their time and talents to keep Jackman's Landing running smoothly. We wish Hugh much success and happiness as well as the best to his lovely family. We'll be on the net, from time to time, like the rest of you, watching his star continue to rise.

And you can bet, when Hugh finally wins that Oscar, we'll be watching!

Pat, Nic, Lori, Mel and Mon (and Chelle, too).

All good things must come to an end, as lives changes, life gets in the way, etc.

It's a very nice write up/tribute.

I recently worked on set with Hugh Jackman, and on the last day I was so close to him my heart was beating faster..lol That man could melt my clothes off!!

Also I agree about his relationship with Debi, it proves that there are still real men out there! let's just hope we don't find out he's a Tiger Woods....
