Subject: "The Bounty Hunter" Trailer Today at 12:44 pm

THIS IS TAKEN FROM THE SECOND THREAD WHICH TENSE STARTED:

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810129411/video/17187371

Here it is, folks...and as much as I have been against the movie all this time (strictly from the standpoint of not liking Jennifer Aniston), I have to say it looks kind of cute. Not great, but better than I anticipated it to be. I knew Gerry would be amazing in it and that he would, no doubt, carry the movie, but still had reservations.

What do you all think about the trailer?

I have to admit, I'm laughing hard at that. I hope those aren't the best scenes. It looks promising.

That poster was horrible. What is up with Gerry's head? It looks funky. And his head looks bigger than his body. Did they photoshop it on or something? And that shirt looks like he borrowed it from a child and the buttons might pop off take out Jen's eye at any moment.

The trailer looks better, but you all know what I'm going to say......
the accent is killing me. Isn't Milo supposed to be from New Jersey or New York? I thought he had a dialect coach on this movie to help him perfect the regional accent? It isn't even close.
Ugh.

*nodding head sagely* I know. I know. Uh huh. I know ...... No, I don't really know.

All the trailer did was show me how predictable the storyline will be. It's not so much the actors chosen, the accent used, even the 'vision' of the director. It's the originality and decency of the written word (writer/s) and this looks like utter crud ... "What's the hottest thing about me?"

JM & J!

How do these scripts make it out of the rubbish bin and onto celluoid film?

Let Gman be Scottish, that's all I'm saying. Stop trying to make him Californian, Texan, Jersey, NYer, etc.

It will give all our ears a break.

Maybe that's what I thought was funny...they way they spoke.

Surprisingly, a lot of movie posters are photoshopped.

Of course the story is going to be predictable. We practically saw the whole movie thanks to photographers.

Like I mentioned, I thought it was funny, but I hope those weren't the only funny spots.

When Gerry plays a Texan and butchers the accent, my head may actually explode.
I'm dead seri---

Get it? "I'm dead seri--"?

Seriously, did he say "I'm dead seri--" in the trailer instead of "dead serious" in response to cutting Jen off when she was yelling "You can't be seri---"??!!! (SLAM the trunk!)

That's some mighty fine script writing.....
Ugh.

Please let this movie be better than this trailer, and Gerry's shirt Sad .

Yeah, I know that this flick will be predictable fare, but in a weird, oddball kinda way, it looks (from the trailer) like it might be a fun, sorta funny little movie.

Aniston movies are fairly consistent---the Break-Up was a bit different, in my opinion, as far as her work goes. She's ok. And bless it, I love my Gerry and will patiently sit through anything he's in just to give it a once-over, but I wish he'd find the right genre or niche or whatever. Some really quippy and witty comedy or seriously emotional drama or period pieces.

He's so friggin' hilarious in interviews that why can't that show in his comedic work? He tries sooo hard. And of course the butchering of the accent(s). He's more natural in interviews--he should use that speaking style in his movies; sounds more fluid.

But as I was saying, from what I got out of the movie trailer, I think The Bounty will be relatively entertaining. They had fun making the movie it seems, so perhaps that'll come thru in the movie. Just seems like it will be pure fun EVEN THO' we know how the story evolves and ends, and how sappy the script is.

Formulaic, yes....but it still looks funny. Gerry's putting on the charm, and I like it. And Jennifer is a good match for his type of humor.
