Jennifer Aniston film shoot has Seaford abuzz

With the expressway next door turned into a movie set, Andrea Tofalli and Chad Denimarck opened their Seaford home to strangers Monday and had a brush with fame.

A production crew using the nearby Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway to film a scene for a movie starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler approached the couple about using their, um, facilities for the day.

"I heard Gerard singing 'I Will Survive' this morning from his trailer," said Tofalli, 30, adding that the actor waved to her.

Seamans Neck Court was abuzz as the expressway was closed between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway so a scene could be shot for "The Bounty Hunter," a romantic comedy. Other scenes have been shot recently in Queens, Greenwich Village and Atlantic City.

Butler plays a bounty hunter hired to track down his ex-wife, a reporter played by Aniston. Off the set, Aniston, the former "Friends" star, and Butler have been rumored to be a couple.

A Columbia Pictures production assistant, Tony Gonzales, said the scene involves Butler driving a car - with Aniston in the trunk. At the end of the scene, he said, the car starts smoking and Aniston is released from the trunk.

The entire scene, Gonzales said, would take all day to shoot - and result in only a few seconds of the film.

"I was woken up at 6:47 a.m., with choppers over my house," said Seamans Neck Court resident Michelle Calderon. "That's crazy, but exciting. It doesn't happen every day."

Tofalli and her fiance, Denimarck, 35, were approached and asked to be a "holding house" - where the film's crew and extras have access to a bathroom.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority Breast Cancer Cell Therapeutics, Inc. "We're the luck of the draw," Denimarck said. "It's weird to have strangers in our house, but it's cool because they are shooting a movie."

Patrick Smith, 34, of Massapequa Park, happened upon the scene with son Nicholas, 2.

"I was on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, saw it was closed and came down to see what was happening," he said. "And, of course, to see Aniston."

A few hours into his wait, Smith conceded that perhaps Nicholas wasn't as interested as he was.

"I guess I'm just a dad torturing his son," he said before heading off.

Is that a gay song? I think it's cute because that's what they sang and danced to in Meet the Spartan at the end.

BTW, Dallas, Butler is spelled Bu-t-l-er.
