Say something random about you (Part 5)

Random:

Oreo cookies dipped in banana pudding. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Pretty yummy. I didn't have any vanilla wafers so I had to get creative.

And yes, this is my final indulgence before I have to go back on my diet tomorrow.....

Never tried that. I do love bananas and chocolate ice cream.

I have kittens living under my house again.

A confession.
I thought I had reached the heights (or depths) of red-neckdom when I painted pictures of outhouses, or when I stashed a smallish electric oven inside a non-working gas oven for the few times I wanted to bake something (Hey, it was the only place that was both useless and heat proof.) But I was wrong.

I have a fondness for oak toilet accessories, including the toilet seat itself. Not a problem until it's time to replace it. (because they tend to break at the hinges ----a lot) Well, the seat broke off completely (and unexpectedly) and it takes a couple of days to replace it. That makes for discomfort for myself and drives my Tigger crazy, because it's one of his favorite sitting places. ( dumb cat lays around the rim and goes to sleep with his tail hanging down in the bowl)

So (now here is the confession) I attached the broken seat to the toilet bowl using duct tape. Yep, long silver strips of red-neck -preferred-fix everything duct tape across the back and front of of a broken toilet seat to hold it on.

I am now officially a candidate for a Foxworthy book. I am a red neck. Next thing you know I'll only have just one tooth and wear a sweatshirt to my wedding to my own kin.


btw----I just replaced the seat for a non-taped one. It's the very thought of using duct tape for such a purpose that makes me a red-neck.

Red neck or not, I prefer duct taped toilet seat than toilet without a seat. Yes, I've seen that, and used it. Unpleasant. Didn't touch it.

I had a puffy toilet seat before. The most comfortable toilet seat I've ever sat on. It came with the house. When it died, I couldn't bring myself to buy a puffy toilet seat, or be seen with one. So that was the end of that.

Timely topic. The satellite that fell to earth this last weekend reminded me of Toilet Seat Girl in Dead Like Me.
