I hadn't had McD's since before I got laid off from work at the beginning of February. But I was watching this Travel channel show last night about hamburgers, and just HAD to have a burger.

I haven't eaten a McDonals hamburger since I was a kid....no lie. I hate their hamburgers. What can I say, we Texans take our beef seriously. I have eaten their McNuggets when I was traveling, desperate, about to faint and had no other fast food options.
But I would almost rather faint.
I do like their fries, though. Yum.
Gosh, I can't remember the last time I have eaten fries....
Now I am going to obsesses....thanks a lot.

Tonight was my first boxing class. I am dripping with sweat and my body is so trashed that I am still shaking from the impact of the punches. In fact, my hands are wobbly on the keyboard. Is it supposed to be like this?

Your hands are probably wobbly from keeping them clenched constantly for so long. Same with keeping your arms in pretty much one position.

As for being punched, well, some people like it, some don't mind, and some hate it, like me. I'm not a contact person. My kind of self-defense is electrocuting them at the border of my property.

It's no fair you can't hit guys below the belt, but they can hit girls in the boobs.

Good luck, Nay. Keep your guards up. Present a shallow profile. Hmm...boxing is definitely not a thing for not-thin people. Thin people can block a larget percentage of their bodies with their arms than not-thin people can.

I just recently learned that Roman gladiators of yore were fat. The fat layers prevent injuries by padding blunt injuries, and providing more protective layers for sharp things to have go through before hitting something important.

My part of Texas is getting very wet. Again.

Thanks, Julie. I was simply shaking because of the excertion required to hold my arms and hands up for an hour, let alone the punching. I slept well last night though.

I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be this morning so I guess I'll go back for the next class. Laughing
