I found them a few years ago when I was looking online for a sweet song to teach the waltz. I found the choreography but hadn't heard the song. Love it and I use it all the time. Then I started listening to all of their music.

My oven was fixed yesterday and today I celebrated by baking my first batch of Anzac biscuits. These biscuits were originally sent to soldiers in WW1 from the homeland because they don't spoilt quickly. After the tragic landing at Gallipoli, they were renamed in honour of the Anzacs who lost their lives. If anyone would like the recipe, here it is:

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup dessicated coconut
2 tbs golden syrup
125g (4oz) butter
1/2 tea bicarb soda (baking soda)
1 tbs hot water

Preheat oven to 160 celsius/ 325 f. Place the oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a bowl. Place golden syrup and butter in saucepan over low heat to melt. Mix bicarb soda with water and add to butter mixture. Pour butter mixture over dry ingredients and mix very well. Place tablespoons of mixture on baking trays lined with non-stick paper, allowing room to spread. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks carefully as they can fall apart.

GB is a bit confused about donuts. Donuts have holes and really belong in front. Donut holes are small plugs and really belong up the rear.

I didn't know Krispy Kreme sells donut holes, but Shipley's and others have been doing that for decades. I prefet donut holes to donuts if I were to eat plain ones. I like chocolate donut holes.

It's a day full of hospital trips...

roommate has last appointment to check her arm, but now they want her to get a test for bone weakness. Dr. said her arm is healing well..thank goodness.

I've been on chauffeur duty for two months...

Now I'm at folks' getting dad ready to go to his appointment. Mother has a meeting with bro today.

I don't deserve this but I received a total freaking financial miracle this morning. It was totally unexpected and totally undeserved.

I think I am getting closer to mission work teaching the Conga in the Congo because of all the good things that have happened recently. Or is it the Congo in the Conga?
