I missed my chance twice to go up on the Eiffel Tower. The first time, a group of protesters were parajumping from the first the arches, and it closed the tower. The next time, it was raining, and I just didn't feel safe to go up in a tower.

So, have to go back again...

Nope, I know a handful of people. We're just out of it. But most people I know do watch it and I respect that.

I guess my problem is that I don't feel that it's really representing all kinds of artists. I know they all have to sing a variety of music, but when I see commercials, I hear the same sound, which turns me off. I don't really listen to that kind of music in the first place. Once in a while, a song will touch me, but I just don't feel for that style of music.

I think using the word "American" in the title is misleading to me. I think because the British used the title Pop idol already, it couldn't be used in the states. But I think it's more Pop than anything else.

I almost started watching when that long haired guy was on, because he was a little different sounding.

I was too young for KISS the first time around. I only learned to appreciate them later on in life....

BTW, I'm not an American Idol watcher either. I like to watch the trainwreck of auditions at the begining, but I've never really followed it much afterwards. I'll tune in sporadically but that is about it.

I did watch part of the finale last night - but only for the guest performers....and there were some awesome ones on last night - including Queen, Rod Stewart, and Cyndi Lauper!!!

I don't watch Australian Idol over here, let alone keep up with the UK and US affiliates. I prefer to hear properly produced music.

It's Friday in the US. Normally, we'd be planning something over the weekend, but since everyday is a weekend per lack of employment, I'm actually going to be doing a lot of work.

Memorial Day weekend used to be the weekend for our big singles convention at my former church. Then on Monday they'd do a church BBQ. Maybe I'll BBQ this weekend.
