This morning, on our usual Saturday walk for the papers, Bud met his best pal and was invited for a play date. So since 6am until now, 3 hours later, I have been able to complete normal tasks - shower, eat, clean and play - without interruption.

It feels weird, blissful but weird. I'll bet he hasn't even missed me, little brat.

Still aching as I was still helping the move. But I'm passed the pain and a bit hyper now. One more day I hope. It's more cleaning the rugs, one last clean of bathroom and kitchen, and fixing things my dad unknowingly broke, like one of the doors off the hinges. The manager will walk through the place with my mother on Monday. Then, bye, bye evil apartments.

I can't get enough sleep at the moment but I have too much to do at this time of the work year. Caffeine helps.

I know how it feels to be sick I am on the sick the third week now!

I used to celebrate Halloween in Belfast here in austria it sucks companies make money out of costumes and in pubs the adults celebrate and soometimes you see a kid in a costume here it is more of an adult thing thats why I mean it should be celrated where it comes from...moneymakin thing I hate that.

It's a nice, sunny and perfectly cool Halloween and I'm sitting here drinking Merlot out of my Halloween goblet whilst switching between Rams football and old Vincent Price movies. I just consumed some very lovely homemade tacos. I have a happy, content Taco Bell-y.

Life is good...at least for right now.

There were quite a few kids dressed up here last night for Halloween trick n treating. I know of a few families who have proper parties and one who outfits the front of her house. I don't get it though - to me it's such an American custom.

The Melbourne Cup Race is held tomorrow. It's the one day of the year I actually have a bet on a horse. We're having a luncheon at work - no alcohol of course.

I feel more energised today after a listless weekend. Antibiotics may be helping.

Julie, All Saints & All Souls were once Holy Days of Obligation but not really any longer. I attended a Saint Mary of the Cross (Mary MacKillop) Liturgy a week ago to celebrate her canonisation and we shall say a special prayer tomorrow for all those souls gone before us.
