He’s only been in Sydney for a week, but it looks like Hollywood heartthrob Gerard Butler is well acquainted with the city's hotspots.

The 44-year-old actor, in town to shoot mythological blockbuster Gods Of Egypt, was spotted leaving popular Icebergs restaurant in Bondi.

He kept a low profile in a cool white shirt and khaki cargo pants, yet his killer sex appeal was still on display as he sported a beard and dark sunglasses.

This time the actor was not spotted surrounded by a bevvy of ladies but instead seen in the company of several male pals.

After a couple of hours of fine dining with friends at Icebergs, Gerard visited a bike shop Wooly’s Wheels at Paddington where he looked at some bicycles and accessories.


This isn’t the first time that the star has spent some time in Paddington whilst down under.

Gerard had a big weekend, spending both Friday and Saturday at the Royal Hotel in the area.

When not out and about enjoying Sydney’s hotspots, the Olympus Has Fallen star has been shooting his new flick at Fox Studios in Sydney.

Waiting game: After a long lunch with friends at the Bondi restaurant, Gerard waited for a car that took him to Paddington

Gerard stars in the movie alongside industry big name Geoffrey Rush, Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Australian actor, Brenton Thwaites.

But there may very well be more to his schedule.

Gerard, cast to play Bodhi in the new Point Break remake, has been rumoured to be filming scenes for that movie as well whilst in Australia.

Last month big wave surfer Jamie Mitchell revealed that Australia was definitely a location of interest to the film’s production crew.’

'Australia was 100 per cent on their radar,' he told the MailOnline.

Another admission from an industry insider fuels speculation that Gerard will travel to the Gold Coast after his Sydney filming commitments are finished.

'The Gold Coast is the location producers are looking at because of the water tank facilities at Village Roadshow studios,' said a prominent Australian director who did not wish to be named.
