Gerard Butler and his new pal Mel Gibson enjoy the sunny weather during an afternoon stroll on Saturday (February 2) in Miami, Fla.

The 43-year-old actor previously hung out with Mel while having dinner with a big group of friends a couple days prior at Zuma in Miami – check out the pics!

Last week, Gerard attended the after party following the premiere for his most recent flick, Movie 43.

Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler are best buddies as they spend the day together in Miami

..As bromances go, it's certainly unexpected.
Mel Gibson appears to have befriended fellow actor Gerard Butler.
The pair were spotted deep in conversation as they walked together in Miami in Saturday.

And with their complementary outfits of button down shirts and shorts they certainly seemed to be on the same wavelength.
Mel walked close to Gerard, looking him in the eye as they spoke.

The unusual pair had previously been seen enjoying a dinner with friends a few day previously at Zuma in the beachside city.

While 43-year-old Gerard's career is on the upward trajectory, 56-year-old Mel's appears long past it's best.
The Lethal Weapon star has been hit by allegations of domestic violence, homophobia, Antisemitism and racism.
And despite his long string of box office hits, including Braveheart, Mad Max, his most recent film The Beaver was a flop.

The father-of-eight has various films planned but is currently not filming.
At this year's Golden Globes he had a front row seat as his long-term friend Jodie Foster received her outstanding contributions award.
In her speech she told Gibson: ‘You know, you save me, too.’

The pair became friends in 1994 when they starred in Maverick.

Some of the comments about the two of them are crazy, but I found this one funny. I'm sorry. It's tacky but it made me chuckle:

I’m not sure what’s going on in these photos. My gut is telling me that this isn’t some kind of “Oh, Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler just ran into each other at some restaurant” thing. Fame/Flynet describes the pics as “Actors Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler enjoy some time together in Miami Beach, FL on February 2nd, 2013. After lunching with a beautiful lady, Gibson stepped out with Butler and joked with each other as they move through the crowds.” ??????

So what does this mean? My first gross thought was that they like the same kind of women – Mel’s post-divorce ladies have been leggy brunettes with wide mouths (better for Jucuzzi beejs?) and Gerard definitely shares that type too. So is this a “like-minds” thing about their ladies? Is that enough to build a friendship with a violent, woman-beating anti-Semite?

What worries is me is that it seems like Mel and Gerard are partying together often enough nowadays – TMZ had photos of the two of them a few nights before, just two dudes hanging out in Miami, eating steaks and cavier and drinking sake. Which is still alcoholic, right? Both Gerard and Mel should not be drinking sake. At all. You know what really worries me? The idea that Mel Gibson may have reached out to Gerard Butler to try to “sober-coach” him and help him out, like Mel did with Robert Downey Jr. And Lindsay Lohan. Mel as a sober-coach? With sake? Ugh.

Why can't actors hang out with other members of their profession without it having to be some romance/bromance/sex thing? MG's been in the movie industry as an actor and director and other things, and has had good years and bad years. Sounds like a great person for a newer actor to get advice from.

Messy Wing-Douches

It's like they were meant to be friends, Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler. Picture it -- both sweaty and red-faced, both spray spit when they talk, both ...leer. Now they get to leer together. Which is a fantasy for some women and for others, like me, is straight up gross. Can you imagine the two of them breathing all over you at the bar, asking if you'd be down with a double motorboat? Me, I probably wouldn't have much to worry about, seeing as I'm unmistakeably Asian and therefore ethnically unworthy of Mel's attraction. How would it work though if one were racially preferred?

Would Gerry warm it up for Mel, or would Mel go in first, the smell of whiskey wafting out of his mouth, a tuft of chest hair growing just under a red neck, above a shirt unbottoned to his cleavage, asking if you come here often?

There's a great line in Crazy, Stupid, Love delivered by the girl who plays Emma Stone's best friend. Her name escapes me now. But she's on the phone with Emma, telling her to come out to the club, when she's approached by a man who clearly has no chance. With a finger pointed to the exit sign, she stops him before he starts:

"In what world???"

If only that were true. In this world, we make it too easy for the Mels and the Gerrys.

CDAN Blind Item and most guesses are Mel and Gerry. I really don't think either were drinking, but what do I know. I think it's weird to go to bars all the time and even shut them down and never have a drink. But I also have no tolerance for being around sloppy drunks. At those hours, I'm sure the bars are full of them:

Who Would You Rather?

I know, asking "Would I rather hump on Gerard Butler or Mel Gibson?" is like asking "Would I rather end up at the top of the CDC's Most Wanted list or would I rather have my genitals banned by Jewish people, black people, gay people, women people, hispanic people, jacuzzis, etc....?"

So apparently, Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler are friends and together they terrorized Miami over the weekend. These pictures have got me craving an IV drip full of Gatorade and menudo, because they look like two hungover and hairy nutsacks in sunglasses. They're like two rejected members of The Pussy Posse. But you know, Gerard is a genius for hanging out with Mel Gibson. Because next to Mad Mel, Gerard looks like a fresh piece of fresh ass and you completely forget that his crotch probably smells like a Limburger cheese and tonsil stones sandwich and you don't even care that when he unzips his pants, an unidentified wart mysteriously grows on your genitals. Who cares! Give me Gerard! Give me a mysterious kind of STD! But don't give me Mel Gibson!

Besides, call me vanilla, but when a sweaty piece is grunting over my back, I really don't want to hear him moaning about how Jews are evil. I also don't want a piece to threaten to burn my house down if I don't tickle his huevos. Oh, and don't call Mel's ballsack "huevos" or he'll demand to see your papers and call INS on you. That's a total orgasm killer.

Some people are just mean and nasty. And I don't mean GB and MG.
