Romance rumors began to swirl this summer when Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler started meeting.

Turns out Jen was interested in… Gerard’s acting!

Life & Style has learned that Jen, 39, has nabbed the 300 star, 39, for a role in The Goree Girls, a woman’s prison saga she’s set to produce and star in next year.

“The thing that really blew her away was P.S. I Love You,” says a Jen insider. “Gerard’s performance made her laugh and cry.”

Should Jen’s on-again boyfriend, John Mayer, be worried about the Scottish stud?

“She’ll get a kick out of having romantic scenes with Gerard,” the insider says. “But she wants to go home at the end of the day with someone like John.”

Just Jared has just posted this just breaking news of what will probably be a film about justice and acting with just cause in a non-just world.

The Goree Girls - Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler to Co-Star

Thoughts, opinions ... just shoot me anyone?

Apparently, Aniston will executive produce (with Dreamworks) the period musical entitled Goree Girls. Based on a true story, Goree Girls is a film about eight women who were incarcerated at Texas’ Goree State Farm penitentiary in the 1940s who formed one of the first all-female western acts in history.

The idea to make the film sparked from a 2003 Texas Monthly feature entitled "O Sister, Where Art Thou?" The film centered on the history of the Goree All Girl String Band, a group made up of convicts serving time for theft, murder, and cattle rustling. Despite their lack of music experience, they were able to become a popular group for brief period, drawing a weekly audience of 7 million listeners to their live radio show. Consequently, the group was flooded with flowers, fan mails and marriage proposals from male admirers. Later, the group’s members were pardoned and the Goree Girls eventually faded.

Any predictions as to GB's role?

So, we can confirm now that:

Exhibit A:
1. GB will be making a movie with JA but his role is unknown at the time of print.
2. There will be singing, a jail, unbecoming stripes and petty larceny.
3. It will based on a true story but may be open to creative/crappy Hollywood weirdness.
4. Some people are worried, scared and/or disturbed about the end product.

Exhibit B:
1. Dallas (the city) is in the state of Texas.
2. Dallas (the person) is in the state of Texas.
3. Dallas (the person) knows where she lives.
4. Texan accents are difficult ... LOL
5. Dallas (the person) knows what assless chaps are!!!
6. Dallas (the person) and Dallas (the city) are hopeful that GB will visit and possibly need guidance/support/physical release???

In summation, I ..................................................................... am now a little scared too. Suspect

Hang on, does that mean Dallas is also BIG in Texas? Que? This is potentially scandalous information folks. I ask that we please keep it to ourselves, She would be mortified to know that we know and that therefore the world may know that she is ..... you know ...... big.

For the record, I am not big. I am tall-ish, but otherwise quite compact. My intelligence and wit is enormous....and of course, my gun. All my exes do not live in Texas, which is why they still live.

I have some boots and a cowboy hat with a tiara on it. I will do my best to make Gerry feel at home while in the Lone Star State. Jen is on her own.

I may be in the south but I grew up in Ohio. Everyone here in the south say I'm so northern cause I have an accent but when I go home they say I sound like a southern hick!! Go figure!!
