MGP filming in Michigan?

I posted this in the twitter thread as well:


Production Weekly has twittered that MGP will begin filmind in Michigan in July. It was previously reported that they would film in Reels Corner, PA in May ( http://www.examiner.com/x-30536-Gerard-Butler-Examiner~y2010m2d2-Is-Gerard-Butler-a-Machine-Gun-Preacher). Not sure which is correct. Maybe both? It has also been reported that they will begin production in June (with Pensylvania as the location specified - see previous thread post under Movie: MGP - https://gerrybutlerspantry.aforumfree.com/machine-gun-preacher-f53/machine-gun-preacherslated-to-go-into-production-in-june-t1977.htm). Perhaps the production has been pushed back to a June start since Gerry apparently (per his interview with the Serbian MOD that he is in Serbia another 10 days - which would take him into the second week of May. Then perhaps the production will move to Michigan? According to the article about Vera Farmiga having to leave as the role of Sam Childers wife due to pregnancy - filming will also be in Africa this summer.

Hmmm, that's the first I had heard about Michigan. Perhaps Childers has roots there as well.

Michigan huh? So how many states will that make that Gman has filmed in so far? I think he's going for the record of all 50.

I think I do know quite a few fans in and about the area. They must be extra excited to hear about this.
