He’s in the market for a new pad, and Gerard Butler was spotted out in New York City today (October 14) doing some apartment hunting.

The “P.S. I Love You” actor was joined by a real estate broker as he made his way to several properties in Downtown Manhattan.

Earlier this week, Gerard turned up at the after party for the New York City premiere of “Conviction.”

Mr. Butler mingled with the likes of Hilary Swank and Juliette Lewis during the swanky shindig at the SoHo Grand Hotel.

I just hope that he keeps this one private and does use it as a focus for an architectural magazine.

Good point Nay, because I think they even mentioned what street the loft apartment was on in that article. I'm sure a good spy who knows the area could find it.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor checked out a spacious, sunny loft with a broker.

Earlier this week, Gerry stepped out to support Hilary Swank at the after-party for the premiere of her new film, Conviction.

Over the weekend, Gerry shot a L’Oreal commercial hanging onto a fire escape ladder in Brooklyn!

Maybe he is looking for an investment. If you can afford it, real estate is a great investment right now and you can get some good deals that long term will probably increase in value. It's probably a better bet than the stock market right now.

Amen, Donna! I know more about Gerard's movements in the past few days than the majority of my family and friends. I wonder if another alleged toliet shrine will pop up in NYC? I am going to be there in February and I really hope he is filming a movie in a land far, far away. I am in fear for my toes if he is going to be riding his bike through the city.
