Celebrity real-estate snitch Annie Gottagun let us know that Gerard Butler’s Los Angeles home is available for purchase outside the Multiple Listing Service, with an asking price a sliver shy of $4.4 million. The bewitching Spanish Revival-style residence on a hillside parcel near the end of a cul-de-sac in Los Feliz — purchased by the handsome and frequently scruffy-faced Scottish actor in June 2008 for $3.25 million — is also up for grabs as a high-end rental, at $15,000 per month.

Three stories tall at the rear, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the almost-4,500-square-foot house was “extensively and tastefully” restored by set-designer-turned-interior-designer Elvis Restaino, and marries period details such as a turreted entry and beamed ceilings with state-of-the-art upgrades to mechanical systems and modern-day luxuries such as a screening room. A gated and secured entry courtyard with fairy lights strung through trees links, via an exterior staircase, to a petite but desirably flat backyard with a plunge-sized swimming pool and semicircular spa.

The “300” and “P.S. I Love You” star, currently filming the action/thriller “Hunter Killer” with Billy Bob Thornton, reportedly maintains a three-bedroom luxury flat in Glasgow he snapped up last year for about $850,000, and he continues to own a duplex loft in a converted warehouse building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood that he nabbed in August 2004 for $2.57 million. The approximately 3,300-square-foot apartment, festooned in an opulent abundance of antique crystal chandeliers, stone columns, and a ceiling fresco that depicts the rape of Ganymede, was described by Butler in a 2010 Architectural Digest article as a “bohemian old-world rustic chateau with a taste of baroque.”

SCOTS hunk Gerard Butler is set to pocket almost £1million after putting his Hollywood mansion on the market.

It is thought that The Bounty Hunter star, 46, is flogging his 1930s three-bedroom house to move permanently to the beach.

And the movie star, whose celeb neighbours include Transformers actress Megan Fox and Lord of the Rings bombshell Liv Tyler, is asking for £3.5m after nabbing the LA pad for just over £2.5m in 2008.

The property is being marketed by THEAGENCY, who described the place as: “Extensively and tastefully restored while preserving its integrity and soul.

And Butler, who has been renting a house in the Malibu hills with interior designer Megan Brown, is happy to accept £12,000 per week until the gaff is sold.

But the large courtyard is one of the building’s top features and a great attraction for potential buyers.

Butler said of moving out of the city: “I now live in Malibu, and I rented this big land with a forest and rivers running through it, it's a magical little kingdom.

“That's definitely inspired from my time in Scotland and I think I'm happiest in the hills or the mountains, when there's vegetation, trees and bushes, and this place is beautiful.

“That's what I miss from Scotland is the countryside - it's truly an incredible experience to be amongst it.

"I love to get out in the water, the ocean. That's why I moved out to Malibu, so I can surf and paddleboard.

“I come out of there and I always sleep better at night, I always get rid of any stresses of the day, and I always feel at least 2-3 times better than I did before I went in.”

Gerard Butler has listed his Los Feliz home for $4.4 million, a tidy jump over the $3.25 million he paid for it in 2008, Variety reported. Those interested in the actor’s digs could also rent the four-bedroom pad for $15,000 per month.

Spanning nearly 4,500 square feet, the Spanish Revival-style abode has four bathrooms, beamed ceilings, a gated courtyard, a terrace and a pool with a spa.
