He's said to have enjoyed an evening romancing Rita Ora last month.

But Gerard Butler shook off all rumours concerning his love life as he enjoyed a spot of shopping in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Friday.

The Scottish actor looked suitably suave as he'd evidently made an effort to dress up for the low-key outing with his team.

Gerard, 46, reverted back to his roots as he picked out a brown tweed blazer which he teamed with a darker polo neck and a pair of grey-brown chino trousers.

He pounded the cobbled streets in a pair of dark brown suede brogues and wore a steely expression as he explored the retail offerings of the pretty capital city.

The P.S. I Love You hunk was accompanied by three strapping males who doubled up as bodyguards.

Gerard's tourist trip comes amid reports he and pop sensation Rita - who is 21 years his junior - enjoyed a romantic night together at a four star hotel in January, according to Us Weekly magazine.

The publication claims the genetically-blessed duo enjoyed a dinner in West Hollywood and it's thought the Hollywood hunk footed the bill.

The insider also claimed the two were seen hugging before allegedly retiring to a private room in the hotel.

However, E! News has learned Rita and Gerard's relationship is strictly a platonic one.

'They are just friends and there is nothing romantic going on,' a source told the publication. 'They have known each other for a while. They had dinner and nothing more.'

Gerard Butler's management has been contacted by DailyMail.com regarding these claims while a rep for Rita Ora declined to comment on the matter.
