Gerard Butler heading to SA for premiere

Johannesburg - Calling all South African fans of Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart!

Nu Metro announced on Monday that the two Hollywood stars are set to grace our shores to attend an exclusive fan event to mark the release of their new action film Olympus Has Fallen in Johannesburg next month.

Olympus Has Fallen tells of a disgraced former presidential guard (played by Gerard) who finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack. Using his inside knowledge, he works with national security to rescue the President (Aaron) from his kidnappers.

The political action thriller also stars Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott and Melissa Leo.

Tickets open to the public

Gerard (300, Machine Gun Preacher) and Aaron (The Dark Knight, Battle Los Angeles) are embarking on a world tour to promote Olympus Has Fallen, and will stop over in South Africa to meet fans.

Nu Metro Montecasino will be hosting the fan event on Tuesday 9 April, which will include a screening of the film, followed by a Q&A session with both Gerard and Aaron.

Tickets for this event will go on sale on 22 March and will cost R100 per person.

The cost includes access to the screening, as well as popcorn and drinks.

The event will start at 18:30, with the Q&A following the screening of the film.

Tickets will be available through the Nu Metro website or via the box office at Nu Metro Montecasino.

Olympus Has Fallen is set for release in South Africa on 12 April.
