Gerard Butler made a pit stop Monday in Malibu to gas up. The 300 star is looking slimmed down- but is still ripped just take a look!

The hunky actor has been staying fit by surfing in his free time near his pad on the beach.


It was announced last week that Buter is set to star in The Bricklayer, and FBI thriller based on the book.

We love you all scruffy and in your summer white G- but another shirtless photo wouldn’t hurt anytime soon either!

Gerard Butler fills up tank of his black Range Rover on Monday (August 15) in Malibu, Calif.

A poster for the 41-year-old actor’s new film, Machine Gun Preacher, was recently unveiled and shows Gerry posing with a gun and a young boy.

“I didn’t know what to expect,” Gerard said about researching his role, in which he plays Sam Childers, a former criminal turned crusader for Sudanese orphans.

“I met this absolutely dominant alpha male who on one hand loves the attention but on the other hand loves the company of his family and friends,” he added. “This is his story and this is his moment to tell it to the world. I had to bow down to that. But there is a darkness in him as well.”

He was once famous for his bulging biceps and bulked-up physique.
But these days, Gerard Butler his half the man he used to be.
The 41-year-old actor has trimmed down considerably in recent months.

He was spotted today at a petrol station in Los Angeles with a mystery blonde in tow.
Rather than filling out his casual clothes, his combat trousers and T-shirt were hanging off his slender frame.

He will next be seen in the film Machine Gun Preacher, the story of the former criminal turned crusader who founded an orphanage in Africa.

Of course fans will remember how he got in fighting form for his 2006 movie 300.

Butler previously went into serious training for the movie, although some suggested his impeccably defined abs were entirely the result of computer trickery.
But the actor insists he worked hard to sculpt his body in preparation for the role, and was thrilled with the results.
He said: 'You know that every bead of sweat falling off your head, every weight you've pumped - the history of that is all in your eyes.

'That was a great thing, to put on that cape and put on that helmet, and not have to think, "S**t, I should have trained more."

However, after shooting the movie, Butler admitted he struggled to maintain the diet and exercise regime he had followed for the movie.

He said: 'My diet is still never quite as scheduled as I wish it were, but now I try to eat vegetables and chicken instead of burgers and fries like I used to.'
