Elke Höller begins her film project "Tucked Away. In the leading role: Gerard Butler.

Cineplexx Graz:

In the entrance hall on the first floor, author Elke Höller presents her new project. In the small frame. Although that of what she informs the guests there rescues a breath of the completely big world in itself. ' Finally, my screenplay to, Tucked Away ' is filmed. Gerard Butler plays the leading role ', she thinks let. Nanny, and the Scot, from films like ' 300 'and' P.S. I love you ' is known, is not the only Hollywood star, the Höller already ' yes' has said. Also Jeremy Irons, queen Latifah and Rupert Everett have promised her appearance in the crime film all around New York policemen orally. However, the 32-year-old remains, as long as no contracts are signed, still carefully: ' If we Say, this is my list of presents. '

The soundtrack lies, by the way, in Austrian hand. The setting takes over composer Peter Wolf. Also this could decide Höller itself. After long one to and fro she has founded since her own production company and is involved in every decision. She has unearthed the relatively slender production costs of 23 million euros by investors. " We want to begin in autumn with the shooting ", the Grazerin with second residence is glad in Los Angeles. In the dream factory a part of the stripe should be turned, but also original scenes like New York, Scotland and Sicily.

For Höller the next year becomes the crowning end of 3,5 years of work. In 2006 she ascribed the script since on Gerard Butler, he invited them as a result to shooting and spontaneously accepted. If the film, comes as before planned, in next autumn to the cinemas, she could greet him, by the way, also in Graz: " I want to celebrate here the world première. Naturally with the stars. ".

This site gives the timeline of events and a little more info. It looks like she was invited on the set of "300" and at some point Gerry gave her some good feedback on the script. I can't tell from this or the other story posted if Gerry has signed, just expressed an interest. From the last paragraph in the article above, it sounds like she wrote the part for Gerry, then got invited to the set of "300" where he read it, gave good feedback and spontaneously said yes. (?)
Sounds a little uncertain to me, but who knows.

More on the movie Tucked Away below.

(I have no idea why there is so many typos, spelling and grammar errors. It is supposedly written by the writer. Perhaps it is because English is her second language?)

http://www.elkehoeller.com/Joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=43&Itemid=27

Tucked Away

"Tucked Away" is not only the story about an unlikely duo, who teams up for breathtaking action, reckless stunts, humorous gags and hairraising pressure. Furthermomre it´s the story about a man who lost his path in life and who´s family has got more to do with the Sicilian mafia than anybody thinks at the beginning. The relationship between the two detectives is very difficult at the beginning but after a while they learn to trust and help each oterh. During their police investigations they find out who is really in control behind the scenes and who is responsible for the fight between the Sicilian mafia and a Black-American gang in the underground of New York City.

"Tucked Away" is not only an action story about organized crime, drungs, gangs and police it´s also a story about passion for life and a message for why some of us have to risk more in life than others.

Breathtaking action, reckless stunts in New York City, 2006. A wild chase with hot cars and fast motorbikes thru the New York City Marathon and a surprising showdown on the top of the Empire State Building puls adrenalin into our veins. Be ready for a new team on the big screen!

More about the author and meeting with Gerry:

Profil
Screenwriter - Producer - Businesswoman
Elke Hoeller is a girl next door, born in Graz on August 22nd, 1978, and she’s right on her way to Hollywood. The 29-year-old creates ideas and screenplays for action movies for the big international screen and builds up her own creative agency in Austria.

Normally an unknown screenwriter tries to get his first screenplay made in the local film biz - not Elke. She is going straight ahead to the big player in Hollywood and luck seems to be on her side. In November 2005 she got the chance of her life. She was invited to Mel´s Cite du Cinema, the film studios in Montréal, to take a look behind the scenes of Frank Miller´s “300” and to meet with her favorite actor Gerard Butler. She took the chance, packed her bags and flew to Canada. There she met people who inspired her to live her dream and to become a screenwriter in the international film business.

“For me, it was the best thing that could ever happen. The chance to meet the people in front and behind the camera. How often do we get such a great chance? Normally never, so I did it without thinking for a second.” Elke says.

This experience encouraged the young woman to move on with writing. With her unusually ideas and her warm and overwhelming personality the girl from Graz made an appointment with one of the big player in biz. In August 2006 she got the chance to met Michael Rosenberg and the people at Imagine Entertainment that produce films on a very high level and she introduced them to her script for a rapid action movie called “Tucked Away”. It’s absolutely unusual that a girl from a small country like Austria gets the chance to meet people like Michael Rosenberg. A girl, who never worked in film business or knew anybody in Hollywood before. The meeting was private and it was a great honor for her to meet up with Michael. They became E-Mail-Buddies. Furthermore she must be very talented to get that far, that's for sure. The film commission in Austria says about her “Elke Hoeller is one of the most up-coming screenwriters of Austria” and believes in her talent.

Even though she doesn’t have an agent, manager or publicist behind her she got in contact with actors like Gerard Butler (“Phantom of The Opera”), Johnny Messner (“Tears of the Sun”), Sir Sean Connery and lots of more or even with their agents. The actor Kristian Kiehling, who is very successful in Germany and currently living and filming in London, accepts her invitation to come to Austria and will meet with her as soon as possible. Elke is financing all her ambitions by herself.

“The meeting with Imagine was very nice, … much more than I expected. Michael Rosenberg is a very nice person and a great businessman. I’m very proud to meet up with him and to stay in contact with him. It really is an honor for me that a man like Michael believes in me and my talent and that he wants to support me on my way to fulfill my dream of a lifetime.”

Now the Austrian newcomer knows that she is able to tell great stories that are of interest for Hollywood and she is working on 9 new projects. Most of them are drafts for action movies, a comedian love story, a thriller and an adventure movie. Even thought it might be easier for her to work with an agent, she keeps on doing her job without any one else behind her cas she believes in her work and had to learn that there are just a few people in this biz that you can trust if you are a newcomer.

“The stories that I work on are stories for directors like Michael Bay, Tony Scott, Rob Cohan etc. not for the Austrian film business, they are too big. Too many action sequenses and lots of expensive cars, which get distroyed, haha. So I have to move on and work hard to get the attention of the right people. And as I learned the last few months: Don´t trust anyone! It sounds weird but there are just a few people that I trust in this biz like my friends Wolfgang Santner and Claudia Farrokhnia. There were lots of people in Hollywood who liked "Tucked Away" and that wanted to proudce it, but I wanted to be part of the whole production, I wanted to keep an eye on the soundtrack and all that stuff as well. That´s not usual for a newcomer and I'm glad that I can work with the great Hollywood-Production-Duo Wolfgang Santner and Claudia Farrokhnia. It seems as if crazy people always get to find each other tho there are miles between them, haha.”

While Elke is working on new projects the German publisher for pocket books is waiting for the novel of “Tucked Away“. The newcomer is not sure why she was so successfully since yet or how she could get that far.

“I think first of all my parents help me a lot. I had a good childhood and education. I respect other people; I think that's the most important. My parents believe in me and support me with all their power and love. I'm very open-minded and warm-hearted and a wee bit crazy (in a good way), I guess that's a good combination as well, haha. And sometimes, I get to know people who can see that I'm talented and support me. I think all these things and a lot of luck allows me to do the things that I love to do.”

One thing is for sure: Elke is not a typical "girl next door" tho she seems to be for the most people at first sight. She is one of those women, who knows what she wants and is working hard and straight up to get it. She will find a place in film business, furthermore in the action genre, cas she's got the talent, the passion and heart, the humor and persistence to stay the course.
