Does anyone other than me find it ironic that someone who seemingly does not like to shave has become a spokesman for Gillette?

I think it's just as odd for an alcoholic to accept a trip from a beer company. It's like endorsing the company.

I guess we'll see in a few days if any of these reports are true.

I really didn't need to know that.

Word is he is canceling now beacuse the sponsors asked him to shave, and he said he couldn't due to work. The articles are just coming in and they're in Portugese, and since I'm at work it's hard for me to post details. At this time I'm not sure if he has canceled Rio altogether, or just that portion of it (I'm sure we will hear more). There's also word he was invited to Aniston's birthday party this weekend. Now if he cancels Rio to attend her party, I might think something is indeed afoot between them...or maybe not. I guess time will tell.

If true - the last minute change seems very odd.

Wouldn't Gillette have told him of this requirement (or wouldn't he be smart enough to ask) long before now? I'm sure there was a written agreement.

I also don't understand why a razor company would want a celebrity who is known for never shaving (even for formal events) to endorse their product.

The whole thing is bizarre - and thus I wonder how much is true.
(or Gerry and his representation have lost all common sense.)

He must still be going to Rio, there are pictures of him leaving at LAX.
