(I found it interesting that Gerry asked them what else Perez Hilton had said about the Alexa interview, as if he was just waiting for a chance to explain the threesome comment. He didn't seem in to much of a hurry to leave the topic, unlike the dating quesiton.)

i was wondering why they didn't ask about the threesome bit. they asked everything else. very entertaining interview!

was anyone offended by this interview? i had posted it to my yahoo group earlier this evening, and one of my group members is emailing me freaking out about it.

well...just browsed around the GALS site. i appear to be the only person NOT offended by the interview. guess i'll be accused of not being a "real" fan again.

Good grief, Sami, don't let anyone tell you that you aren't a real fan...EVER! Anyone who makes others feel that way, doesn't know how to be a real fan.

i've already got one lady on my group in a tither!! funny....i've been a fan years longer than most of these folks, and spend alot of time....ALOT of time...keeping up with a group for the man. ah well...

frustrating. one reason why i don't really read forums, and one reason i'm starting to want to distance myself from all g fans. sad really.

Sami, that's the beauty about running your own forum or group. You're in charge! If they don't like it, they can go somewhere else.

I've been accused of not being a 'real' fan too (whatever that means). Yes, as if I would devote so much time, energy and even money into someone/something I disliked. Everyone is different. I'm not a gusher by nature, and I'm pretty blunt when it comes to my opinions. But that doesn't mean I glory in others faults or want them to fail. Quite the opposite, really. I won't flatter a person and put them on a pedestal. It's shallow and it's phony. Give honor to whom honor is due, and when it is due. Otherwise it's just platitudes.

I haven't seen this interview yet. To be honest, I haven't seen very many of the interviews, articles, etc. at all since before LA...partly due to being so busy with real life, partly due to so many of them being out there, and frankly partly due to a bit of Gerry burnout.

I find this amusing as well. The man can get bleeped on talk shows, wear caps that say "c**k" on them, talk about his penis on the radio, and threesomes on the TV and suddenly when a radio station talks to him the same way, they are deamed beneath him and called "white trash". It's their fault for the line of questioning like the man has no sense or control over what he says and is trapped in to saying things he shouldn't. A lot of how Gerry is treated in interviews comes from his own behavior. I say "what up with dat".

I'm sure his people prescreen his interviewers and know ahead of time what the nature of the interview is going to be.

I've listened to this particular radio station although I've never listened to these guys. It's just typical "shock radio" that's all and some don't care for it, don't tune in.

If Jamie Foxx had been interviewed, I guarantee they would have been no different and Jamie would have gone along with it as well and no one would have thought the worse of him.

Like has been said, some of Gerry's fans need to quit putting him on on a pedestal because the higher you put someone, the further they have to fall.

I wasn't necessarily offended by this radio interview, but how idiotic do these hosts sound? And, then they're not totally up on the reference about the FB group "Gerard Butler can impregnate....."

Surely G regrets appearing on this show. Yeah, a decent sport he was, but I know he must've cussed out his PR for booking this gig. Yuck.

The content didn't bother me but their idiocy did. Gerry was pretty much straight up and seemed rather taken aback.

...and to clarify....

I'm not saying that G is all perfect. He is crude at times during interviews, yes. And that may perpetuate same behavior from intervewers...to egg him on.

And he is probably fully aware of what to expect from some interviewers--you know, going into it---but in this one he seemed taken aback while also trying to play along.

Just seemed the shock jocks beat a dead horse, went on a bit long on with the schtick.

What do you expect? You said it...they're "shock jocks"! Did you think they'd get all philosophical? Surely his PR screens these things first. If they wanted mild mannered and less invasive conversation, they should have picked Dalilah.

If anything, it reflected badly on the morons hosting the show, not the person being interviewed. GB appears to be a good sport in the face of relentless stupidity.

Realistically, he has spread some tasteless gems himself through the media so he can't all of a sudden be a vestal virgin offended by invasive questions.

Move on. Wise up, Senor Butler.
