| I know Dallas - I had to rub my codein cough syrup eyes to make sure I was really seeing that.
He must have had a first date!..hahahaha.
OK going to bed - trying to get over this stinking pneumonia...

| I hope you're feeling better, Oggs. There really isn't any pictures to speak of, but JustJared has a bit on the Fallon appearance: http://justjared.buzznet.com/2009/10/16/gerard-butler-jimmy-fallon-singing-duo/ | |

| I don't care for the clean shaven look, particularly when they have him so made up. I could see the makeup on him. If he were clean shaven without all of the makeup, it would be different.
I guess I prefer more of a natural look on people.

| SNL is done live. So there is no taping, just a live feed. I have not been impressed with SNL in the past several years. I just don't find it funny. I hope that this one at least has some funny skits and isn't a total bomb. The "hosts" are limited by the material, so it might be painful to watch. But I am hoping that if it is bad, that Gerry at least gets tickled and busts up laughing or throws out some unintentional F-Bombs. That would be bad for the show because there isn't a delay and NBC could be fined, but at least it would make a lame show funny. I also hope that he is in an SNL short -- something like "D/ick in a Box" would make an hour and a half of llame skits worth it. I am also hoping there will be some "300" skit and a Scottish kilt or Braveheart skit. Even a parody on the TMZ theme or ladies man reputation could be hysterical if done right. | |

| thanks dallas!! i haven't watched SNL in eons because it stopped being funny long ago. i think the last time i even tried to watch it was the first time hugh laurie hosted, and as you said, it was painful. am thinking about just recording it and watching later. that way i can at least skip thru all but the bits that gerry is actually in and not suffer thru the rest. | |

| The whole show isn't as funny, but there are a few semi regular skits that are funny. They do a cougar show and Cameron Diaz usually shows up for the skit. She's hilarious in these particular skits.
Once in a while, an actor/host surprises you. When Colin Ferrell was on a few years ago, I laughed so hard. Didn't know he had a great sense of humor. I think G will be like that, if they let him.
What I'm really sick of is the political humor. I know SNL is known for their poly humor, but it just works against them.

| Glad to know Vicar of Dibley is someone else's favourite too. The British have a way with quirky, sybtle comedy. | |
