I didn't want to give this article creedance by putting it in the Movies Section so I'll place it here for now. I wonder if there'll be some sort of denial/story to unfold in the next round of interviews OR questions about why his name was used.

Gamer’s Gerard Butler Maintains His ‘300′ Physique

Gamer star Gerard Butler still looks as ripped as when he starred in 300. He may have done the work himself, but many men get these results through cosmetic surgery.

Gerard Butler is no stranger to high-octane action, having led a pack of Spartan savages in the film 300. Instead of hand-to-hand combat with slings and arrows, Butler’s new movie, Gamer, hurls him into the near future – making him the lead character in a virtual first-person shooter game.

In both movies, Butler’s physique appears to be carved out of marble. He may have done all the toning and fat-burning by himself, but many men turn to cosmetic surgery to look this good.

Two common procedures for guys who want the “ripped” look are liposuction and male pec implants. With liposuction, a surgeon can remove excess fat using any number of technologies, including tumescent liposuction, ultrasound, and even the laser-assisted variety, if the patient opts for the recently developed SmartLipo.

Whichever tool is used, liposuction can be a cosmetic surgery shortcut to defined abdominal muscles. Which means a man with an average build can get Butler’s 300 abs without pushing himself through a thousand crunches per day and a diet designed by NASA. The procedure offers quick recovery and typically results in mild swelling and soreness. Health risks are minimal, but can include infection.

To get a hunky Hollywood chest, male pec implants are a quick step to nicely-built pectoral muscles. This procedure is similar to breast implants in women, except that the male pec implant is a more solid silicone product. By design, the implant supplies a man’s chest with a masculine shape, firmness and size.

But just like breast augmentation in women, this surgery carries some risk. Recovery can take as long as six weeks, and the patient can experience soreness and implant shifts, as well as risk infections. To minimize the chance of complications with any cosmetic surgery procedure, prospective patients should always look for a doctor who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

With enough liposuction and the right set of male pec implants, the everyday guy can get himself closer to seeing a man like Butler in the mirror. Then again, looks aren’t everything. After all, the 300 star looks great from the neck down, but most women are really attracted to sweet eyes and a sense of humor. Right?
