There was more than just lunch on the menu for Gerard Butler on Wednesday in New York City.

The 47-year-old actor was seen taking in the view of his Soho surroundings, including a blonde that walked by wearing very short shorts.

Butler and a pal both seemed captivated by the woman as they waited for their food to arrive at the table.

Soon after, the Scottish actor fixed his focus back onto his meal and was later seen taking a bike ride around the city.

His passerby peep show comes just days after Gerard's ex Morgan Brown was photographed with newly-single Liev Schreiber in Los Angeles.

Morgan, a former model and interior designer, was last pictured with Butler on a dinner date in LA on March 30.

Gerard and Morgan had been dating on and off since 2014 and were said to be broken up for good in 2016 before being spotted together again earlier this year.

Schreiber was in a relationship with Australian actress Naomi Watts for 11 years - although they never married.

They began dating in 2005 before announcing their split in September 2016 and have two children, Alexander 'Sasha', nine, and Samuel Kai, eight.

Gerard is known as a Hollywood bachelor, having never been married but linked to Hollywood actresses throughout his career.

He has just wrapped production on his movie Keepers which was filming in his native Scotland.

The 47-year-old actor was spotted chowing down on his lunch – which included a bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water – at Sant Ambroeus on Wednesday (May 24) in New York City.

After his meal, Gerard hopped on his bike and cruised through the streets.

Gerard recently returned back to the states after filming his upcoming movie Keepers in Scotland. (Check out a first look here.)

Last week, Gerard‘s ex-girlfriend Morgan Brown reportedly went on a date with Liev Schreiber.

While Gerard and Morgan were rumored to have split back in November, they have been spotted together several times this year, most recently on a date night in late March.
