Like a bee to honey, it seems Gerard Butler just can't stay away from attractive young Australian women.

The 44-year-old movie star certainly hasn't been lacking from female attention since arriving in Sydney to film mythological blockbuster Gods Of Egypt, flirting with not one but two women at the Belvedere Vodka party at Cruise Bar on Friday night.

The handsome 300 actor did his best to avoid photographers by turning up late to the event and politely declining to walk the red carpet.

But once inside, all eyes were on Butler as he got close with model and photographer Ivana Martyn-Zyznikow.

The Scot and the popular Sydney socialite seemed caught up in an intense conversation, with Martyn-Zyznikow gesturing wildly and touching Butler's shoulder at one point.

He seemed just as pleased with the attention, whispering in her ear before she pulled away giggling.

The pair got cosy in the VIP area which overlooked the first night of Vivid Festival at Circular Quay, continuing their animated discussion while guests looked on.

Butler wasn't alone for long, finding company with another mystery blonde just minutes later.

The young woman was wearing a white crop top and a black blazer, her hair pulled back into a business-like ponytail.

It's not the first time Butler has been seen out and enjoying himself since he arrived in Australian in March to film the $150 million epic by Australian filmmaker Alex Proyas.

He was a surprise guest at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia back in April, sitting front row at the Ellery Spring/Summer 14/15 showcase.

Chatting with actress Emma Lung and several models from the show, Butler arrived at the event in style on a motorbike, helmet in hand.

The Olympus Has Fallen actor was said to be the hit of the night, and accompanied his friend, model Cheyenne Tozzi to the event.

The judge of The Face said he was out on the dance floor and partying up a storm to hits from DJ duo The Faders.

'He’s a bloody good dancer, I was like "Damn. I didn’t even learn that in dance school",' Tozzi told the MailOnline.

'He’s a nice guy and it’s nice to meet famous people like that, who are just human and down to earth. He was so happy to be in Australia.'
