I love dogs in general I have two mixed bred dogs I love both of them Cassie is my older dog mixed Golden Retriever and Husky mix she is about 8 years old and Jake the newest member to our family we got him in Oct. or Nov. is a Black Lab and Retriever mix small only 25 pounds and shorter than Cassie he is 2 1/2 years old and has the sweetest personality

Thanks Donna for the welcome back, I had forgotten about this forum till you mentioned it and since I recently got a new computer lost all my favorites so was going around on memory trying to find some of my favorites. I do hope some of the others from the Bacic forum will join us here as well so you can add a Steve topic. I saw the new Hallmark Series last night When calls The Heart that Steve is currently in even though it is not listed on Imdb he finally spoke last night the first episode he was just a pretty face had no lines. Hope to see more of him on future episodes.

Shih Tzu are one of the cutest dogs I would not mind owning one except we do rescue dogs from the Humane society so I have two mixed bred dogs that I love very much Cassie is a mixed golden retriever and husky and Jake is black Lab and retriever mix.

Thanks Sami I love my two dogs they are both smart and very loyal to all of us. It would have been a shame for them not to be in a family thankful the shelters are no kill shelters unless the dogs are harmful to humans such as rabies or worse killer dogs.

Donna, friends of ours also wanted another dog they only had the one but every time they left this dog along he got very upset to the point they had to medicate him. So now they got another dog and no longer have this issue, dogs are pack animals they need to be more than just one, that is why we have two as well. Get a rescue dog they make the greatest pets, as they thrive on love.

I should get about 6 more dogs. Seven dogs make a pack....right? I'm thinking a pug, a beagle, a German Shepherd, an English Bulldog, a mutt, and another Shih Tzu. That along with Coco will make seven dogs. Very Happy

y'all have ordinances? i don't think we have those here, but we might. i know we can't have chickens or goats.

There usually are limits on number of animals (not tiny like gold fish or hermit crabs or hamsters) and types of animals you can keep on your property. If there isn't, once someone tries to have too many or have something too weird or dangerous and they bother the neighbors, some rule/law/ordinance will be passed. Some are bothered by pigs or bobcats or 20 dogs next door.

I'm of the opinion there should be 2 pets, doesn't matter if they're the same type, as long as they don't try to eat or kill each other. Unless you're home all the time to keep the pet company.

I am not sure about ordinances in my area but do know some folks who have a few cats and a few dogs. We had a neighbor who had three cats and two dogs.
