| Still very sore, my wrist still hurts pretty bad and my knee has been very swollen so I haven't been able to get around much this weekend. Just taking a lot of bed/couch rest. I'm just glad to get this week over, it was very trying. I still have the format change thingy to do too. I haven't had time to even start on it.
Random: I hope I don't fall this week.

| I wonder if you have fractured something, Donna. It might be worth a doctor's appointment and maybe an x-ray, especially if you are finding movement restricted. What is the EU thingy you spoke of?
Random:
We've been studying Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus and Hernando Cortes in history this term. Don't Americans celebrate a Christopher Columbus day?

| Yah, DK, go get your knee and wrist checked.
Columbus Day: October 12, schools are in session. Bank holiday: Monday or Friday closest to Oct 12 so they get a long weekend.
I believe Columbus Day is also Canadian Thanksgiving Day.
Explorers ruined the world. They opened the way for conquerors and spread bad things, like the use of coal that created the Industrial Revolution which lead to world pollution. This is what I teach my child.

| An Argentinian. With the name Francis I'm thinking St. Francis of Assisi, a man of extreme charity. | |

| Nay, we had our inspection last week. The Swedish Medical Board showed up on behalf of the EU and audited our facility. It lasted two days, which is nothing considering the FDA can show up unannounced and audit us for weeks or months at a time, at will. At least they let us know beforehand. Random: I LOVE the song "Thrift Shop". It's very catchy. | |

| I'm right! Pope Francis is taking after St. Francis of Assisi. I have a cold. I have a fever. My nose and sinuses are stuffed up. My lungs are full of gunk. My left ear hurts. My throat hurts and I'm starting to have uncontrollable coughs. I feel like crying. No, I do not want my mommy. | |

| Always bugs me see Catholic priests riding bling wearing bling and living in bling.
Thanks for the well wishes.
kayanne, after the wedding you need to open all your gifts, catalog them as you open them as to who and what and where they are, write and send thank you notes, find places for all the new stuff, find places for your stuff and your hubby's stuff, then readjust to your life with a new partner, who I hope loves your family and your family loves him.

| The bling Popes are allowed to wear is NOTHING compared to the bling that sits in the depths of St Peter's Museum - a vestment worn by Charlemagne on his coronation, dazzling jewels that blind the eyes, more gold than a Middle Eastern souq. I recall that it actually hurt to see such wealth there and see such poverty elsewhere until I realised that each piece was a piece of history, priceless for its stories and importance.

Get well soon, Julie. Rest. The world needs you back to 'Fiesty Level 10'!
K! Yes, he did the deed with that irrelevant woman. Liar or forgetful mistake, we may never know. Either way, it was classless. Your wedding bells will be here soon enough. Don't wish away singledom so quickly. Savour the journey you've taken over the past few years.
Hello Sami dearest. How are you?

| A lot of church property are donated by the faithful in/for the service of God. I understand expensive ceremonial clothes and items that are given for the purpose, and personal items that are given specifically to them by people who love them like their families and friends.
I don't like priests who do things out of personal greed, deliberately choosing to take from others, especially the needy. Same goes for people who say they are doing charity work then take generous cuts of the donations.

| Where's Shar? She's not been here this week. I hope she's well.
DK! I saw you sneak in yesterday. How are you? What's your news?
Randoms:
Do you ever find yourself hunting for the 'perfects' in life? The perfect white shirt, the perfect coffee, the perfect mattress, the perfect wine? I swing between frustration at not finding these things and pleasure in the challenge. My great hunt, the one I hope never to finish, is for the perfect Eggs Benedict. At times, I have even told waitresses that I will judge their cafe solely on this one meal.
Next month, it will be a year since I adopted Jordy. When I think back to those first few days, I recall a scared, sad, highly strung little boy. When I look at him now, I see how much his confidence and personality has grown. He's safe, happy, well-fed and loved and enjoys playing the clown. Over those twelve months, I have learnt that it is possible to love an unknown grown dog, not just a small puppy. Therefore, it is with some residue sadness that I've made the decision to have Buddy desexed. I wanted so much to have a 'son of Bud' but it hasn't unfolded that way. He turns 4 years old in October and has settled down into a delightfully funny, mellow little dude. Yesterday, my friend Greg (owner of a female beagle) broke up some treats to toss to all three dogs. Bud stood back and looked at Greg while the other two hoovered away feverishly! He was just like 'So, what am I supposed to do here?' Greg has given him the nickname Bob Marley.

| Saw Sharabella post something last Sunday on another forum. I thought Bud was an it already. Random funny news: A woman in Texas saw a snake outside her house, poured gasoline on the snake then set it on fire. The snake slithered under a brush pile near the house, set the brush pile on fire, which set the house on fire. The house burned to the ground. Charges against the woman are pending (a neighbor's house was partially burnt, too.) Moral of the story: Lighting a snake on fire is not a good way to kill a snake. The first comment on the article I read said: She suffered from a reptile dysfunction. Best pun I've encountered in a long time. - Nay wrote:

No. For me, I like the 'bests at the moment'. Waiting for 'perfect' means going without, and I like having things. Besides, 'perfect' depends on mood, situation, time in your life, etc. Censored snarky comments.
