What kind of movie would you like to see Gerard do?

I'd like to see him do something a la "Romancing the Stone"--fun, romantic, lots of action.

Or, something quiet and introspective like "Cast Away"....Gerry only for nearly two hours on a deserted island. He could really grow a long beard! Lol.

Maybe something intense....like "Dog Day Afternoon" I love his intensity and emotionalism, so I might like to see him play a dark character. Vulnerable, like in "Please!" (one of his finest albeit shortest performances)

The first 10 minutes of PSILY are intense and dramatic, aside from trying to fake an Irish accent. It's my favorite part of the film.

Something like that would suffice.

Romancing the Stone is one of my favorite movies, Peege.

I think he is on the right path with the movies he is choosing to do now. Beginning with Coriolanus, now MGP and the Burns. I am really looking forward to seeing him do Burns. He needs to stay away from the romantic stuff for a while or it will be the kiss of death to his career. No one will take him seriously anymore as an actor with any kind of range. Brad Pitt had to be really careful with that too. He moved on to films like 12 Monkeys and Fight Club to keep from being type cast as the "pretty boy". Gerry's last few movies have really sucked and he needs to get back on the horse and show people that he can actually act.

I think the more dramatic Gerry I like best. Use his acting skills. Enough of the rom-com.. cheers
