Thanks very much for all that you're bringing us, Donna.
Wonder how many guests will 'borrow' some of your work?

Well seeing as I 'borrowed' these from other sites, I can't really call the work my own (though it does take time and effort to upload them).
I like GB.net's approach to pictures. Put the logo on the small picture, but not on the full sized one. IMO, unless you have taken the picture yourself and/or have licensing rights to it, you shouldn't put watermarks on it. But that's just me, I guess. To each his/her own.

I got the following pictures from this site. You should go there and read some of the captions they've put with the pictures.

Well I was giving Gerry the benefit of the doubt as to whether his tongue really did touch Heigl's face, but after seeing these...

Thanks ladies! You're all on the ball.
It looked like a successful and fun premiere.
Any word on the poor fainter?

No word on how she is now, but apparently she is a member over at GALS (or at least they know her). They were talking about it in a thread over there. Based on what I read she didn't end up going to the hospital because she told them she didn't want to miss Gerry. She did end up missing her place at the front of the barricade, though.

This incident could have been avoided...if the fans looked out for each other...
remind people to bring water, munchies and chairs if you fly in, locals could bring extra chairs buddy up take care of each other
Hardly anyone looks out for each other in these gatherings. Even people within their own cliques have been known to diss everyone for a chance to get to G.
I know it might not have been completely avoidable, but it bothers me so when people don't watch out for each other.
The last time I was at a premiere, I almost got into it with another fan because I was holding a place for someone who had to leave for a moment, and who she thought wasn't a 'real fan'. The person seemed nice. The accuser was one of those "I-know-everything-about-Gerry" fans.
I'm absolutely amazed though at how many people I don't know anymore. Every time I go to a gathering, there are the few who always go to everything, and the majority of fans are new or just coming out for the first time.

Unfortunately when it comes to Gerry, the friendship bars are down and it's every woman for herself. And before anyone criticizes me for saying that, I had a fan tell me that before. Not necessarily those exact words, but she basically said that if I wanted my 'moment' with Gerry, I had to push my way in there and the $%#@ with everyone else. And it wasn't just her that said it, either. I've heard other fans say it, I've seen it in action, and yes I've been burned by it myself - on more than one occasion. At the time I didn't realize, but now it makes me wonder how I was ever so lucky to get my picture with Gerry at the Nims premiere last year.
I'm slowly figuring out that sometimes it's better to avoid certain situations altogether than go and then come back hurt and disappointed...especially when you're chastised for feeling bad.

Hi,
I will tell you more happened than was written about on GALS. I think it is a case of everybody covering their ass to come out looking good. Donna, you were fortunate to be with MUAA when you had your picture taken he he he and I was fortunate to be with Alice. I think some of us are a bit more levelheaded and giving than some of the others. I still have hopes to someday get a jug and face to face picture with Gerry and not just the back of my head LOL!! Well, we have quite of few movies coming out and hopefully one of them will be at the Chineese theater were there is more room to manuver.

In that I completely agree with you. It was certainly much better than my Gerry experience at TIFF. I say Gerry experience, because all in all TIFF was a lot of fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again. My experience there, however, was unfortunate in that the bad things that happened soured the rest of the good stuff.

Ah Bea, I've taught you well....
I just pray that the fainter is a lot better.
I'm just worried, though. If this person was seeing or possibly meeting G for the first, and didn't want to give up her place to go to the hospital, I don't know what to say.
But if the person had seen G a time or two before, what does that say? I'd rather be unconscious ready to go to the hospital than to give up my space to see G?
???????
You know, I wasn't there, and shouldn't judge, but when you see this kind of activity all the time--I've seen a lot of fainters in various events I've been to--you have to wonder.

What am I missing here? This sounds aweful? Was there drama at the premiere with fans? Geez.

It's sad because if this is was a friend of mine, who decided to stay, and I was in front, I'd give her my place. It just goes to show what kind of people there are when it comes to really seeing G-man.
They just don't do that here. I mean, how many autographs or pictures do you need of the man?
