Pics and video interviews at link:
Gerard Butler Is in Manchester with the Rest of the World!
I told you I’d be back cats and kittens. It’s Friday, and it’s the start of a long holiday weekend here in the US. To start things off right, I have more pics of the Pride of Paisley from last night’s amfAR gala and a few sprinkled in from other highlights of his trip to the South of France. I was prepared to guess, but not quite commit to saying that the carnival that is Gerard Butler had at last moved up north to the UK in preparation for Soccer Aid, (he could have been sipping Vischy water in the Eden Roc for all I knew) but we have proof! We not only have pics from the Nice airport but a video promo for the big match. G will of course be playing alongside Will Ferrell, Edward Norton, Mike Myers, Woody Harrelson, footie legend Roy Keane and captain Michael Sheen for the "Rest of the World" team vs England. (RotW won the last time the event was held in 2010, also under captain Michael Sheen.)
This video is pretty funny. Apparently G stepped off the plane and into the ITV studio (actually the Wyndham hotel in Manchester) to film this sit down with Cat Deeley and Jason Isaacs:
He's in a bit of this one as well. If you have any interest in footie, this is really fun. I wish we could see the match here in the US.
Well, enjoy the pics. We need to savor them kitties, because our boy’s been on the surface for a long time now and I can sense he’s getting ready to back underground. I’m hoping it’s to a film set. White House Taken is supposed to shoot next month in Shreveport. Gods of Film (No, not you Harvey)…please let that happen! (But before that, I hope we get some good pics from Sunday’s charity match!)
