That looks like a lot of fun! I thought you meant a 360 loop-de-loop (pitch). I didn't think gliders have that kind of speed.

Don't know where my previous post went but I wanted to add how cute and boyish and happy he seems gliding away.

Plus he would have been sacked if that camera had fallen from his hands - which of course would be MY luck.

That turning upside down is definitely not for me! I can't stand being on an incline or upside down. Nope.

Looks like so much fun though! Good for him:-)

Hey Nay:)

It's good to be back - I am back quite regularly, just don't post often. Trying to make up for that though!

Hope all are well!

There are 4 pics at the link, including one after the paragliding:

http://www.blick.ch/people/international/hier-schreit-ein-hollywood-star-am-himmel-177096

Translated article:

Here is a movie star in the sky of ZERMATT screaming - actor Gerard Butler flew for the first time with a paraglider. Calculated in the Swiss mountains.

The start was somewhat bumpy. “, Gerard shouted, when we took off. And then again: ‹Ooooh shit! ›”, says paraglider pilot Dani Behling (48).

No wonder a few seconds after the start of the Rothorn at Zermatt VS the prominent paraglider passenger dangles from 700 feet above the ground. It is the first tandem flight from Hollywood star Gerard Butler (41, "p. S. I love you», «300», «The Bounty Hunter»)! «But then, he has become quite well gemetzget», Behling said.

Behling fetches the Scottish actor on Sunday morning in the Zermatt hotel Omnia. “The time pushed because of wind conditions. He was just at breakfast, ate omelet with his parents and drank orange juice", Behling said.

"We went on foot to the valley station. Without bodyguards. With any Sheikh I have seen already very different", says Behling, who offers paragliding tandem flights with his company paragliding Zermatt.

The Lady at the ticket counter was all red

Hardly anyone recognizes the Hollywood star. "The Lady at the ticket counter had no idea. I told her who I had. She was all red!"

Behling and Butler with the paraglider start at 11 am. About 20 minutes, they glide over Zermatt. "He enjoyed the flight very much. Always wanted to know how high we were. He took photos diligently." Behling filmed the flight.

The haystack of a mountain farmers serves as a landing site. "His father was waiting there, which was insanely happy", portrays pilot Behling. "Gerard said he wanted be sure once again fly with me."

Who probably recommended Gerard Butler holidays in Zermatt? Perhaps wars Marc Forster (40). Butler plays the leading role in “Machine Gun Preacher” (2012 in the cinemas), the new film by the Swiss director.

(I guess this happened on his way back from Switzerland to London then Glasglow.)

The Butler did it

GOSSIP website Popbitch claims a tall bloke in a beanie-hat was given a VIP walk-through at a London airport for a BA flight to Glasgow, which only drew attention to him.

He had to take his hat off before going through security, and thus was revealed Scots actor Gerard Butler.

Popbitch’s correspondent writes: “On the plane he sat in the fifth row, with the beanie slammed down and avoiding all eye contact. Gerry: if you want to go unnoticed, maybe don’t ask for a VIP walk-through to the plane. His mum, also travelling, looked mortified.”

Scots hunk Gerard Butler rolls in the hay after skydive over the Swiss Alps

HOLLYWOOD star Gerard Butler flies high over the Alps - seconds before crash-landing in a bale of hay.

The big-screen tough guy had the wind taken out of him after dropping a mile in height in 20 minutes, in the Swiss Alps.

But game for a laugh Gerard, 41, was ready to do it all again, despite the stunt in the shadow of The Matterhorn resulting in a crash landing.

His instructor Dani Behling, 48, told the Sunday Mail: "He was very funny. At the beginning, he was really spooked, saying things like, 'Oh my God, I'm scared' and all that. But after a few minutes he relaxed and was very quiet and enjoyed it.

"He was taking a lot of pictures and very happy. A farmer had built a grass haystack about two metres high and we landed right on top of it."

Dani added: "He was laughing. He kept saying 'I want to do that again.'"

The Paisley-born actor was on a short break in Switzerland with his mother Margaret and step-father, from Perthshire, as his guests.

They were staying in the luxurious Omnia Mountain Lodge, a boutique hotel and spa above the town where suites cost almost £1000 a night.

Hotel staff booked Butler his flight after he told them he was inspired by the sight of paragliders flying down the Alpine valleys.

The starting point at the top of the 3100 metre high Rothorn peak is reached by cable car. But Butler almost didn't make it.

Dani said: " It was booked for Sunday but I had to collect him early. Bad wind conditions were forecast for the afternoon and I had to tell him he had to hurry otherwise we would have to cancel the flight."

Once at the top, Butler was given a safety lecture before being strapped in to his harness.

Dani said: "He is a big man of about 90 kilos - a little bit bigger than me. But the size doesn't matter.

"The take-off at the Rothorn is not a cliff, but after just three steps in the air, and after 50 metres flying, you are way up, half a mile above the ground."

As Butler snapped away with his camera, Dani piloted them to the landing point.

"His step-father was waiting there to meet us, delighted to see him. Gerard wasn't at all starry. He was just on holiday with his parents. They were very friendly people."

After his Swiss break, Butler flew back to London then on to Los Angeles, where mid-flight he reportedly made a bee-line for model Seanna-Marie Chang, slipping her a note with his number.

But his flight problems didn't end in Switzerland when Seanna turned down the notorious romancer because she already has a boyfriend.

The actor has two films out this autumn - the Shakespeare drama Coriolanus, alongside Ralph Fiennes and Machine Gun Preacher, a true-life drama.

Both premiere at the Toronto Film festival.
