Gerard Butler was among the celebrity attendees at the 2011 MLS All-Stars vs Manchester United game at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Wednesday (July 27).

Joined by the the likes of Ethan Hawke, Jessica Szohr, Melissa George and Russell Simmons, the 41-year-old actor was in high spirits as he watched the Manchester United team school the MLS All-Stars in a 4-0 victory.

While Gerard should have been watching David Beckham and his team attempting to stay alive, the big screen hunk was seemingly mesmerized by the mystery blonde sitting by his side.

Meanwhile, it appears famously shameless Gerard tried to chat up girl during flight to Los Angeles.

The Scottish star was at London’s Heathrow Airport when he first spotted a pretty young lady, who he had his eye on and then tried to chat her up during the flight to LAX.

“Most of the lads at Terminal 5 never even noticed Gerard to start with because the woman was a jaw-dropping stunner,” a source tells the Sun. “She was turning heads. A tall, early twenties, model-looking brunette. Gerard was swept through the queue with officials for the airline and boarded the plane. He spotted her and nearly fell over. It was a classic double-take. He should have had a yellow card for the look he gave her. When we boarded she was a few rows in front of us in 42B. You could see him peering back from first class. Then 15 minutes later one of the airline’s ground staff came along, handed her a piece of paper and gave her a wink. It was priceless. All the lads on the flight laughed and she blushed and started giggling. We didn’t see what happened when we got off at the other end.”

During Major League Soccer's All-Star Game at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night, mentalist Lior Suchard entertained footie fans Russell Simmons, Gerard Butler, Sean Avery and Ethan Hawke with his mind-blowing tricks. Before the match, Suchard correctly predicted the halftime score as well as which players would score goals and when. After Manchester United trounced the American all-stars 4-0, Simmons co-hosted Love Universe's event for the Art for Life Foundation at Mister H at the Mondrian SoHo hotel. He was flanked by hot actress Melissa George, but he couldn't stop marveling at Suchard's tricks, sources said. All-star David Beckham and his MLS teammates didn't seem to take their loss too hard. Yesterday morning, Becks and a group of players were spotted splashing in the pool at the Trump SoHo, where the US team is staying.
