Pop (Chips) Art: For those expecting any of the so-called celebrities to drop $30 million for a Rothko, consider this. After refusing swag including a thousand dollar pair of jeans and a Corum watch, actor Gerard Butler had only one request: Pop Chips. Yep, those light 'n' airy chips, whose ads you've probably seen everywhere, have been the crunch of the town. Adrien Brody requested a delivery, too. Why? Says our insider, "They're too cheap to break into their hotel mini bars."

They can't be that prestigious.
My mother and I had them with our sandwich at a deli located in the hospital when my dad had surgery a few months ago.

BTW, they are good, and somewhat healthy. We liked them. They sell them at Whole Foods, but also Safeway and Target.

This paragraph in Part 1 regarding the begining of the festival made me laugh:

Quote :

Speaking of Vernissage, the convention center was bustling with buyers, braggarts and freeloaders last night. Among them, and you decide who fits into what category: Bravo's Work of Art judge/gallerist Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn, photog Bruce Weber, seen at the book store where he spent some time adjusting his trademark bandana, George Hamilton, who said he couldn't afford any of the art, Danny Glover, vying for the title of most random Basel celeb, and a solo Ben Stiller, who had earlier checked into the Shore Club. Besides a showcase for museum quality (and questionable) art, Vernissage also doubled as one big gay pickup joint, with nattily dressed hipsters checking each other out, looking for the next human Statue of David.
