Gerard Butler was seen on the afternoon of Thursday (14) walking and cycling through the Soho district of New York. The actor was with sportswear pants and a hat.

And some time in the tour, the star of "300" found some friends and stopped to chat. The actor's last film was the comedy "Bounty Hunter", where she shared the scene with Jennifer Aniston .

His hair looks wet -- or dirty, greasy..... affraid

That doesn't look like hair product to me. Is he taking hair tips from Alan?

What....the..... ??? Really?? That's just nuts.

So the newest style is prepubescent and/or anorexic, 12 year old boy looking models with dirty unwashed hair.

Ick. I might go a day without washing my hair, but even then before that day is over my head feels all icky and stuff. I can't even imagine going a week or more.

Think it has to do with a certain mr Patz who doesn't wash his hair, and the main turn off for me for the guy.

Sorry, after the heat that we've been having, there's no way I wouldn't wash my hair. It is true that with washing your hair every day, you lose the natural oils that are good. But those oils also weigh down the hair, if not washed.

There's nothing better than great smelling hair, and smell is a great part of attraction.

Then again, I'm talking about Caucasian hair. I don't know about Black hair, but I know they don't have the oils that Caucasian hair has, and hence they don't have to wash their hair everyday.

But still, I had a manager who was black, and didn't watch her hair often, and it didn't look right. At least it didn't smell, but you could tell, even when she 'did' her hair, that it wasn't clean.

Curly hair in general, whether it's like Gerry's or tight kinky curls like afro hair tends to be dryer than straight, so you shouldnt wash it everyday. At the same time you need to keep it well condtioned to avoid dryness. I wash my tight, knky curls 1-2x a week,no more and condition it extensively at every washing (10 to 20 min deep condtioner or a leave in). Maybe stylists would recommend hair like Gerry's to be washed no more than 3-4x a week since it's a looser curl.

I think you took my words wrong. I didn't mean to say that you had to wash your hair everyday.

I have curls too.

I think, though, if you do use a lot of different products likes gel, spray, etc, everyday, it's probably not good to keep it in there for a long time.

Personally, I cannot stand having 'stuff' in my hair, so I do wash it out as soon as I can.

I knew what you meant GG,I didnt take it wrong. Though alot of people don't understand there's a difference between the way you treat straight hair and curly hair. I just made a genral statement. Even though Asians have straighter hair its usually very coarse and not as oily-not like Caucasian hair at all. Some of my Asian friends have gone to stylists who've only been trained in styling Caucasian hair and have come out with terrible haircuts. Now that there are more models who are from different races and types, and acknowledge that non models arent the same either, more stylists are much better informed about different textured hair. As for products, Gerry may not need as much as he uses with his looser curls, though I certainly do. My hair absorbs oil very quicky but its left with a nice sheen I must say.
